YOUR Washington Bullets have started 0-2 with losses in winnable games!

Scott Brooks' fetish for playing 3 or 4 guard lineups in the face of opposition with several 6-6 and above players has been hilarious to watch!

While Westbrook has had two triple doubles, he isn't the floor general or pure PG we got used to from John Wall's play. Westbrook's defense has been trash... not Isaiah Thomas trash of course.

With a back to back scenario, Westbrook probably doesn't play as Brooks has indicated. But we will see more Ish Smith and less Raul Neto who didn't get any burn after a nice first half on Saturday.

Troy Brown looks awful. Bonga has been bad in 2nd halves. Bryant has been good and downright awful on defense at late junctures, Bertans can't even shoot... It's #SOWIZARDS!

Beal having to put up Kobe Bryant like games seems to be the only path to victory.

Robinson is fugly and bad at basketball. Not a good combo(although I can relate).

Brooks should be fired, but this organization loves fake "continuity" so he will at best "coach" out his contract. This team is still talented enough to make the playoffs so that will likely even get him an extension.

Ted Leonsis doesn't give a **** about basketball, so there will never be any real accountability.

At this point I’m almost hoping for a loss and for some dissension on the team to start to jeopardize Scott Brooks job security.

Have we gotten to “Actively rooting for losses so Brooks is fired” territory yet? Or is it premature?

A close win here wouldn’t do anything to make me feel better about our prospects this season.

Ted is the slowest owner in sports and Russ likes Scott so he's not going anywhere this year. I also believe that Russ plays tonight

Very curious to see what the rotation will be tonight, Scotty is NOT a creative, outside-the-box kind of coach

I'm hoping that with Westbrook out, Troy Brown gets an opportunity to handle the ball more and get into a rhythm. His bad play these first two games has been a real downer for us because we're thin at forward with Rui out and Bertans limited. Theoretically, a forward rotation of Brown, Avdija and Bonga should result in a lot of good passing and ball movement.

And I still don't get the preordained minutes restriction on Bertans.

I wonder if Neto will start. Brooks likes to keep guys in their role, so he might want to bring Ish off the bench and promote Neto straight to starter in Westbrook's absence.

I'd like to see Wagner tonight. Orlando's backup centers aren't overpowering behemoths that Wagner can't handle. And Wagner is typically pretty decent at getting out and challenging stretch bigs like Vucevic.

Here's the rotation I'd like to see:
PG Neto/Ish
SG Beal/Brown
SF Avdija/Brown
PF Bonga/Bertans
C Bryant/Wagner

Please, please, always have one of Bonga and Bertans in the game at PF and play Avdija all the minutes he can handle at SF. The rest of the rotation will take care of itself.

You should be coach, or at least assistant whispering in Brooks’ ear, but you aren’t, so I won’t be surprised by Ish/Neto/Robinson/Brown/López.

Tough call. History says Brooks is slow to recognize when to make adjustments, or just makes bad ones, but history also shows the franchise can be painfully slow in responding to such issues.

I hope the next coach is a younger, less established coach who will 1) still be developing a style and be more open to change and innovation, 2) hold players more accountable, tying playing time to on court performance and following game plan, and 3) be on a smaller contract that may make Leonsis less hesitant to eat some guaranteed years.

I see a lot of people complaining about the line ups and the rotations, but I wonder what do you guys think about the game style you have seen so far, are you satisfied? would you change something? From what I've seen there is way too much hero ball and way too less team ball. Yeah I know it's a Beal and Russ team now, but isn't the goal is winning? In these two regular season games I feel like there is no good balance between scoring and making sure all the players are getting involved in the offense. Each player is playing for himself and his stats. I just don't like it. People praise Neto, but so far he has played 18 minutes and has only 1 assist. I don't like it. I don't like it that too many players looking to prove they are play worthy by scoring, what about passes? what about cuts? what about so many other aspects of the game, which is a TEAM game and not tennis? I've watched the Heat yesterday and I loved so much the way everybody there is looking to pass, share the ball, move without the ball, their game style reminded me why I love basketball. I want the Wizards to play team basketball, this is how IMO you build a healthy winning culture and a healthy organization. And I can't help but wondering if it's possible with Beal, Russ, Ish, Neto and so many players in the same team thinking about their own stats more than thinking about what is good for the team.

Just my thought.

Hope to see some positive team-play signs in today's game.

Agree too much one guy deciding ok it's my turn, while the rest of the team stands and watches.

With Hachimura still out and Bertans limited, I'd like to see Gil get some action. It would be nice to see if this guy can play or not, and this seems like the ideal scenario to do that.

Tonight, I'd like to see...

Neto, Smith
Beal, Troy Brown Jr
Avdija, Bonga
Gil, Bertans
Bryant, Wagner

Mix it up a little bit.

That seems to be the way a Westbrook led team works. Not every play, but often. He controls the ball until he draws the defense to him, and then sets up the open man. Often the defense dares him to shoot because he's not much of an outside shooter, so he becomes a high volume shooter. When he does pass there's not much time left to keep the ball moving.

Beal also holds the ball a long time. Pass is always the last option, so there's not much time left for others.

This style of play leads to a lot of turnovers for Westbrook and Beal because they're frequently surrounded by defenders. It also leads to other players' mentality, "I better shoot while I have the ball because I'm not going to have it much".

I was a big John Wall fan, but his style was similar. We had a short period a few years ago when Wall was injured, referred to as "everybody eats". Tomas Satoransky played PG and the Wizards led the league in assists for a few weeks. A fond memory for most Wizards fans.

I don't see Coach Brooks changing the team's style of play, so sharing the ball and good team play has to start with a team's stars. Not too optimistic about that happening.

It's very aggravating to me that Westbrook isn't playing tonight. Ok I get the whole load management thing and it's a back to back, but they're staying home, there's no traveling. I mean seriously, how much money is he making? It the 3rd game of the season, and he barely played preseason, it's not like it's 50 games into the year. There in danger of starting off 0-3. It's playing basketball, not blue collar labor which is what I do 12 hours a day 6 days a week, and I'm in my 50s. You're telling me he cant give us 20 minutes off the bench tonight??

16-4 lead after 3.5 minutes! Looking much better than yesterday. Not missing Westbrick at all... :)
