The Washington Wizards lost to the Philadelphia 76ers for a second time in this young season despite 60 points from Bradley Beal because they do not defend on the perimeter and they don’t have an elite defensive big man who can clean up some of the mess.

Can we just get it over with and start Ish, Neto, Westbrook, Beal and Robinson? If we're going to play small, let's go all in!
Either that, or we should play the 8+ year veteran lineup and start Ish, Westbrook, Beal and Lopez. I guess Bertans would be the 5th guy. He's only in his 5th season, but at least he's 28 years old. We don't want to mess around and accidentally develop a young player.

I wouldn't actually mind if they play Bonga at backup center.

No Robinson, play Bonga instead
No Ish + Russ backcourt, play Bonga instead
All of life’s problems are solved with pt for Bonga

How many teams in a row is that now of players that turned up testing positive after the Wizards played them.
Three?

Will this game happen? I would tend to think not.

Whole 76ers team has to quarantine. This is getting hairy.

I thought the same thing, but the wiz social media is promoting the game quite a bit, so it looks like it is happening.
Celtics have about 10 players available for the game.

Wonder when the wizards get hit with contact tracing. Would be nice to get to see some Mathews, Wagner, Winston, Bonga, and Brown. We have a quality bench lineup collecting DNPs every night.
Who wins?
Winston-Mathews-Brown-Bonga-Wagner
Vs
Ish-Neto-Robinson-Bertans-Lopez

Nat -- I love that! We need to see that game.
Each team can play any of the other 7 Wizards for 10 minutes (thus, e.g., Beal could play 10 minutes for each team).

Quarantine roulette.
This really has to wreak havoc on Vegas oddsmakers.
Robert Williams, Tristan Thompson and Grant Williams out.
Not much left of their front court.

With the right matchup, it may actually work. I wouldnt mind seeing this as well.

Averaged more rebounds than Lopez per 36 in 2019-2020

I think Team DNP wins! My only real concern is with Winston. I'd definitely take Mathews-Brown-Bonga-Wagner over Neto-Robinson-Bertans-Lopez. But it's possible that Ish outplays Winston badly enough to keep it close.

Would be nice to have any sort of clue what we have in Winston. It’s a shame we are so locked in on 7th/8th seed mode and can’t play any young players. I think it would’ve been fine to see Winston in a 3rd PG role that is elevated to backup PG whenever Westbrook sits on back to backs.
As soon as we made that Westbrook trade, the organizational philosophy changed back to win now mode instead of player development. It’s disappointing

Wagner and Bonga foul out in the first 2 minutes

How the hell is this game going to be played? The wizards just played the sixers 2 nights ago, Curry tests positive last night. How do contract tracing rules not apply?

Didn't you see how we played D? There was no contact at all.

It's pretty simple.
Everybody that participated in that contest tested negative, so as far as contact tracing is concerned there was no exposure at that time.
