Well, well, well.

Not even a quarter of the season played and the Wizards are up to their usual shenanigans.

Worst record in the league, worst defense in the league, worst ownership in the league, but through it all, still the best franchise when it comes to making excuses.

Today we get the Hawks who have managed to claw back from a bit of adversity and I do not expect the Wizards to be competitive in this one.

So what's the logical outcome in this one?

Wizards win.

Yeah, I know, it doesn't make much sense, but neither does anything this franchise does so there's that.

Technically, not the worst defense. We are 29th and quite a bit ahead of #30 Sacramento.

Bertans, Hachimura and Wagner will be available. We can finally field a real team:

PG Westbrook/Neto
SG Beal/Mathews
SF Bonga/Robinson
PF Hachimura/Bertans
C Lopez/Wagner

Avdija, Brown and Smith are still out.

I still want to see Westbrook sit out for 2 weeks and see if he can get healthy.

Here's a prediction: if Bonga wins his matchup with Hunter, the Wizards win the game. If Bonga loses his matchup, the Wizards lose. That is the key matchup IMO.

With every loss, Cade Cunningham becomes that much more of a reality. Go Hawks.

Wagner and Bertans combo is something to watch. I believe they have played well together.

Beal pickscup his 2nd foul. The 1st prevented a dunk. This 2nd one should not have been made. With 7 mins left in the 1st, its a costly foul. Should sit him, but he stays in.

Beal still in with two fouls. Wonderful.

I know Beal has foul trouble and Westbrook has to sit, but are we going to see Robinson play 40 minute tonight?

Brooks loves Robinson. Not sure what he sees, but he loves him some JR.

Maybe the team had a talk about Beal having to be superman, because they are trying to get everyone involved early. Could be a good thing. We will see. So far, its been a slow, uneventful (aside for 2 fouls for Beal), close game in the 1st.

Nothing like an ISO for a guy who can't shoot outside 5 feet.

Russ hits two threes and Beal is getting a lot of rest. I don't like the lack of ball movement on offense.

Len playing better tonight

Says "1/30" -- so I didn't turn it on until a few minutes ago when I saw there was action in this thread. Took about 2 minutes for Westbrook to drive me crazy -- but, then, he did make a 3.

Will Brooks make it to Valentine's Day? Not looking good.

I'm still waiting for a breakout anything from Rui. He looks like he's regressed this year.
