Re: NBA Games Discussion Thread - Part 5
Otto Porter had 9 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals in just 19 minutes of play last night. If he did that over 38 minutes, it would have been a quadruple double!

Porter is a huge reason why I expect Golden State will win the championship. He's playing his best basketball in limited minutes.
I was checking his splits this season. In his 5 starts get this:
20 assists, 10 steals, only 1 turnover. 53%FG and 45% 3PT shooting in those 5 games.
He's rebounding like crazy and shooting 40% from three.
Bye bye Beal.

Players like Duarte and Ayo Dsonmu are why I think walking away from Beal entirely is perhaps the Wizards' best move.
Bye bye Beal.

I'm late with this, but Grayson Allen is garbage. He looks like a young Mitt Romney so he gets away with this trash. Unbelievable.
Can't say I do. Who else gonna shoot?

He is - and I'm a Bucks fan saying that. But Mitt Romney, seriously? They don't look even a tiny bit alike. That's a real head-shaking comp to say the least. Whatevs. And he got a suspension while others haven't. THT of the Lakers made a very similar foul the same day and won't get a suspension.

Some similar facial features as John Stockton? THT was at least going for the ball. Some players don't realize, or don't care, how vulnerable an NBA level athlete is going at full speed, jumping high in the air. I remember Bobby Portis leveling Tomas Satoransky a few years ago. The incident seemed to have a lasting impact on Satoransky.
There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics — quote popularized by Mark Twain.

Re: NBA Games Discussion Thread - Part 5
THT also didn't do the same thing to Ja Morant just a couple days earlier, but THT definitely has some issues too. Allen isn't alone in what he does. He's just the most visible, and probably worst offender in the league right now by a rather significant margin. Honestly, the Bucks have maybe the most likable player in the league right now in Giannis, and Jrue and Middleton are both alright, but between Allen, Hill and Portis, that supporting cast is pretty hard to cheer for.Ruzious wrote:9 and 20 wrote:I'm late with this, but Grayson Allen is garbage.
