Was watching UT LAC last night and realized Donovan Mitchell
has some WTF Westbrook in his game taking all the shots
for long stretches of play. Not like he doesn’t have shooters
to pass to either.

As if James Harden hasn't done enough things to hate him, start at the 26 second mark...

Props to Lonzo Ball for improving his shooting, from 3 and especially the foul line. His current TS of 56.3% is the best of his career by far.

Agreed. Though I think that’s his ceiling. Increases in FT% are only as good as your ability to get to the line. And his paltry FTr of 10% limits his impact there. What’s concerning is despite an increase in usage, his rebounding and assist have dropped by 25%.
NOP is going to have to make a decision this offseason. They have to let Ball and Hart walk or have no prospects for a legit FA anytime in the next few years. That Adams extension looks real bad. They had no reason to give a year early and his numbers are down across the board.
They’ll definitely need to make a trade to make a move.

Crazy finish from Luka, two step back 3s in the last 20 seconds to ice the game vs Boston. Wow

After some losses by Atlanta, New York and Orlando, only 2.5 games separate us from 7th place:

Amazing performance. Seems like if he goes left in those situations, it's going in. But stopping him from going left is easier said than done.

If you are right handed it is easier to shoot going left, especially for step backs, because your right shoulder is closer to the rim. Not many guys (Harden,Steph,Dame) can make step backs driving to their strong hand.

I used to shoot pull up jumpers driving to my strong hand but i don't think i ever even attempted a step back unless i was driving with my off hand.

Tbh, the last time I played I don't think the step back j had even been invented. Fwiw, Doncic says he feels comfortable shooting toward his left but more comfortable passing toward his right. He equates his moves and his opponents reactions to chess moves.

As a general rule for most NBA players if they drive to their off hand they are more likely to shoot a jumper (Lemon Pepper Lou as an example). If they drive to their strong hand they are more likely to go all the way to the rim.

Luka's skill with the ball in general is amazing. Ive watched him a lot and still there are times i am like :o .

Curious to see if his recent hot shooting from 3 is a mirage or legit improvement. If he becomes just an average 3 pt shooter he will be completely unstoppable.

Jokic has been in beast mode this season. He is currently averaging 27/11 with 8.5 assists and a 65% TS.

He is that rare guy who reminds me of Bird. He moves like a big goof but abuses guys with size and skill.

The Houston Rockets were leading the Minnesota Timberwolves 101-85 with 7:31 left in the game.

Somehow, the Rockets failed to score a single point for the rest of the game! The T-Wolves went on a 22-0 run to win it 107-101. Now THAT is some shameless tanking! Remember, the Rockets need their pick to fall in the top 4 or they lose it.

Yeah, I had Covid 2 months ago. It was fairly mild when I had it, basically like a head cold. But now, 2 months later, it still affects my lung capacity a bit. Prior to Covid, I could hold a 7:00 mile for 4 miles. Now, I can only hold about a 7:20, and sometimes I can't even hold that.

And it comes and goes. When I play basketball, some nights I feel 100%. But on other nights I have a little trouble catching my breath - almost like I have a very mild asthma.

Overall, it's not really that much of a problem as a weekend warrior. I'm maybe 95% of my normal self, and it's improving, albeit slowly. But I'm not a professional athlete. I'm sure when NBA athletes take even a 5% hit on their conditioning level, it's enough to make a big difference.
