Gary Bird had a nice run, now his run is in the opposite direction: 0-6, 0-4, & 2-8 3-pointers in his last three outings.

Indiana's really fallen apart - losing to an injury-depleted Miami team by 29, falling to 13-19 with one of the better coaches in the NBA. And now Brogdon's got an achilles injury. It might be time to trade Sabonis AND Turner.

Of course, it might matter what you mean by "last three outings," given that he's actually at 40% on threes in his last three outings.
Breaking News: In a shocking development, Wizards owner Ted Leonsis has sold the NBA franchise to a consortium of participants in a discussion board devoted to the team on realgm.com. Details to follow....

Yeah, he had a string of off nights, normal

They sure didn't need Isaiah Thomas. All the media folk got excited when he scored a bunch of points in his first game. Well, after going 1 for 11, he's shooting 32.4%, and I kinda doubt he's helping them on defense. Lakers are .500 now, but they could still make a run if they're able to get a couple of ring-chasing vets who can still play defense and convince their current team to buy them out. The last thing they needed was an over-the-hill volume shooter who's one of the worst defenders in NbA history.

As great as a defender as Robert Williams is, when he dropped off of Giannis to triple team Jrue - hunting for a block... really bad decision there, and Giannis took advantage. You don't leave the MVP uncovered.
So Boston fell below .500. I think a lot of that is because they have a rookie coach. They certainly have talent on that roster.
Philly will also soon fall below .500.

Re: NBA Games Discussion Thread - Part 5
Westbrook gets one of the worst triple doubles I've ever seen. 4 of 20 shooting in a very tight loss. He had a -23 while Lebron had a +9 and played brilliantly. Westbrook clearly tried his best - but was the weakest link on the Lakers. His defense on Patty Mills was inexplicable. He kept leaving him to chase steals and rebounds, and Mills nailed 3 after 3 and had season highs in both points and assists. I'm guessing Lakers fans have totally given up on Westbrook - and Lebron probably has, as well - looked exhausted after playing 40 minutes.

The Lakers have such a strange (bad way) roster. Veritable who's who of washed up players:
Carmelo Anthony
Dwight Howard
Deandre Jordan
Rajon Rondo
Isaiah Thomas
Russell Westbrook
Trevor Ariza
Darren Collison
Carmelo Anthony
Dwight Howard
Deandre Jordan

Stanley Johnson was a decent pickup. Ariza is washed but he looks spry so far. Russ is Russ as we know. Melo started hot but if he's not hitting 3s, he's not giving you much. Howard gets played off the floor but he's by far their best C.
Collison... too soon to say. IT is gone. Rondo is washed. DJ is washed.

Love it. Love. It.
Such joy to see the Lakers struggle and suffer.
Same with the Celtics, and their insufferable chauvinistic fans. Such joy.
And Lebron — though I have a lot more regard for him than I did when he was a Cav and then a Heater, when I despised him and his narcissism and his assumptions — I still like to see him struggle. It’s nice.

It was I. Moi. & I've called for us to pick him up about a dozen times since then.

Timberwolves beat the Celtics. We had Monroe on the Go-Go.... I think we should have called him up

I remember calling him a slower version of Bob McAdoo and then you basically saying I was nuts for calling him slow. So I give you credit for supporting him more than I did. Doc also liked him a lot. Btw, how bout that Minnesota/Boston game. Minny was playing without their entire starting lineup, and Boston without Tatum and Smart. Boston falls to 16-18. Time for them to panic or give up?
