You can clearly see Rui isn't a great defender

Westbrook is so lazy on defense.

Idk what Brooks thought would happen putting a smaller body on J Val

We are so handicapped with this coach...until he is gone it’s gonna be frustrating to watch this team

He reminds me so much of a young Derrick Rose. The shifty, herkyjerkey movement with the ball, the super-effective floater, the ability to finish with contact and contort himself at the rim. I just love his game.

Brooks wide open 10 footer. Wide open. After Rui finally hits a rare 3. Nice effort either Bertans or Rui.

The story of the game is 20 turnovers to 10.

I want to like Neto, but he does not one thing good. He's not really crafty in the land, not a particularly good passer, not really a player that can get hot from three.

Giving your opponent +16 possessions hurts.

Why does Brooks never contest a call?

1)He's not Ish Smith. 2)He defends or tries every game. He's a solid backup point guard, but Brooks is playing him too many minutes because he doesn't trust Matthews or any other 3 or 2.

He's having a bad game. Everyone has them.

Overall, he has been a rock solid backup PG. On a vet-minimum contract, he's a bargain.

Rui is just giving us nothing right now on offense and it's not like he goes to the boards. You can't expect Beal and Westbrook to be on every night.

How about Brooks going back to get him involved early. Post him up a few times earlier in the game and don't just put him at the three-point line. He needs to get a few extra buckets on put backs.

He knew I was defending him in the other thread so he decided to make me look bad.

It's hard to understate just how terrible our defense has been on Morant. All game long we gave him the midrange floater. Just unreal. After the first 2 or 3 times. We should have changed our defensive coverages. Time and time again, we are going to see well-coached teams exploit our slow-footed big men.

I don't think it's all his fault. He's not a spot-up shooter but he just stands on the 3-point line on offense waiting for Westbrook or Beal. He needs to get the ball in the mid-range or post up. He's not a stretch four right now.

Outside J Val everyone that played for Memphis is 25 and under, and that's without Jaren Jackson. They're going to be a fun team to watch the next few years.

Beal's body language has sucked all night. Praise comes with criticism. Him and Rui have both looked like going through the motions all night.

BTW lol at the Brooks call to bench Matthews and Wagner for the misplaced anger call of the game.
