One thing is abundantly clear: There are better NCAA players than MUCH of this roster.
Bye bye Beal.

I’d say it’s about 50/50 odds on Embiid having a torn ACL.

My guess is his season just ended. Hope I’m wrong but that looked serious.
Bye bye Beal.

It's lateral movement, or twist motions that typically result in ACL injuries, I didn't see that being the case here.

I've had a similar injury before and my diagnosis was a strained PCL and a bone bruise.

Tremendous pain, and inability to put any weight on the injured leg, but that subsided relatively quickly and I was back in action within 2-3 weeks.

I don't think he'll be out for long.

Unreal, Brooks should just yank him every time he pumps fakes those open looks.

What makes it even worse is that most of the time he doesn't even go anywhere following the fake. He just stops the ball and allows the defense to reset, which makes it infinitely harder to get a good look on that possession.

Yeah, in today's game, those are the looks you want, so when you get them, you have to take them and make a good percentage of them.

That was a joy to watch. Embiid did whatever he wanted - hopefully he didn't hurt his knee too bad.

I hate the way Wagner plays, he flops so much and that's the reason he'll always be a minimum salary 3rd string center in the NBA who sometimes gives you good games.

I agree, Rui passes a lot of open 3s and it really is infuriating. Avdija bricks a lot, but at least he's not scared to shoot and his release is pretty quick and high.

Well, anyway... I'm in a negative mood so I'm just rambling. :D It's just so frustrating how bad this organization is - maybe things get better in the summer... likely not.

I don't know what's the point talking about per 40 min stats in the NBA, but anyway - per 36 mins Rui takes 3.0 3PAs (last year 2.2) and Deni 4.9. Also, Deni had a good start to the season, but in his last 21 games he's averaging just 30% from downtown. But these are just numbers, so, I guess that's it for me. I don't wanna start arguing with you. :D

Good to hear that Embiid didn't hurt himself that bad.

Me neither.

Rui too was shooting the 3 better earlier in the season. Both guys have dropped -- but Deni was better the whole way along.

OTOH, Deni is shooting something like 57% from the line! How can you only be 20% better shooting FTs than shooting the 3? :)
