Pacers have been without Brogdon due to a hammy (since May 2) and they look to be saving him for the play-in the way we want to save Brad so I'm not as optimistic about our chances against them come the playoffs.

Didn't they have a certain shot blocker out as well?

Pacers seem to be having lots of issues with their coach - https://www.sportskeeda.com/basketball/rumor-nba-rumors-malcolm-brogdon-domantas-sabonis-want-indiana-pacers-head-coach-nate-bjorkgren-replaced Perhaps this makes them particularly vulnerable in the playoffs - or Play-Ins. Play-ifs?

So it seems Brad is missing (at least) the next 2 games against the Hawks...I am glad they are not forcing it, I rather drop to 10th (or stay at 9th) than risk a more severe injury.

Huge win to just split the hawks games. Good to get Beal some rest, but hopefully he’s in rhythm for the play in game.

30/20/20 plus 5 blocks and steals. Is that too much to ask for? (sounds like the title of a bad song)

This Beal injury sucks even more now that Celtics are without Jaylen Brown for rest of season. They are looking like a tasty matchup in that 7/8 seed game.

If we play the Nets with Harden and Durant, Russ will try his best to hit that mark, I'm sure. Ever seen a 30/30/30 game? Ha.
Can't say I do. Who else gonna shoot?

We could face them as the winner of the 9/10 game.

Here's how its gotta go down.

Hornets lose out. We lose to the Hawks (honestly, I think we gave em our best shot last night), beat the Cavs, beat the Hornets.

Play in game against the Cs without Brown. No problem.

Get the Nyets who lose fragile Durant. Beat them in 7 (Russ gets a triple 20).

Then we get the Bucks... but Giannis unexpectedly gets called into Greek military duty defending the motherland from a confederation of Euro countries that want their debts paid back.

Sixers in ECF. No problem.

Then we get a top Western Conference team in the finals. C'mon. We're practically undefeated against top WC teams.

Reminds me of the late 70s glory years.

The new urinal cakes will be emblazoned NBA champs!

Sad, really, given what people will do to them....

What we want:

1. Best: wind up #8, then beat Boston to become #7.

2. 2d Best: wind up either #9 or #10. Beat Indiana. Then beat Boston to become #8.

Either way, we are matched up against a very good team in R1. But, we are not over-matched against either of them. We should have a reasonable shot to get out of R1.

Facing the Celtics and having a healthy Beal would be a huge break for the Wiz... on their way to being destroyed in the "first round".

Magic number is still 2 wins in the remaining 4 games, in order to guarantee a spot (probably #10) in the play- in.

Charlotte lost. They remain only 1 game ahead of us. The own the tiebreaker so we need to make up that game before we face them in the final game of the season. And then we need to beat them in the final game.

The Raptors are out.

Chicago is down 15 to the Nets at the end of the 3rd quarter. If Chicago loses, our magic number is 1 with both Chicago and us having 3 games to go.

Indy is in a tight game with Philly. If Philly wins, we are tied with Indy (and have the tiebreaker).

If we can eke out a win tomorrow it puts us in pretty good position me thinks, fair shot at getting 8th seed.

Chicago lost. I believe the number is down to one.

Correct. The magic number is 1 win in the remaining 3 games to gain the #10 place for the play-in game.
