I am 100% all in on Lonzo Ball. One of the most underrated players in the league.

Yep. Lonzo needs to be the target.

I don't think we have any where close to the package needed for that. But maybe if you offer Kuz and Bryant in a single and trade. I think due to the timing of the trade maybe they can be traded together sooner but I don't know.

MLE isn't going to get it done, and what can the Wizards send in a sign and trade?

I think the best move is Dinwidddie. Lonzo’s asking price is going to be astronomical. I think Lonzo’s the better fit but I have now problem moving forward with Dinwiddie. Dude should have been an all-star and has shown the capability to continuously improve. In addition, he’s been linked to the Wizards.

One of Kuzma/Hutchison/Bryant. They have the salary filler to get it done, but what do they have that would be appealing to the pelicans in terms of assets?

Doesn’t seem like they would move Rui after selling us on the Kispert/Rui Gonzaga connection.

Dinwiddie has always been a really good player, but coming off the torn ACL, I wouldn’t trust that move unless it was for the MLE.

I think Spencer is going to try to double his salary. It's gonna be a 3 year $66M or 4 year $88M type of deal...

We currently have a log jam at center and forward. A trade package could include one of Harrell/Bryant plus one or two of Bertans/Kuzma/Avdija and still leave us with a roster 2-deep at every position. Obviously, we would prefer to trade the older guys with less upside rather than trading Bryant or Avdija, but it depends on who is coming back.

A best-case scenario would be to trade Bertans plus Harrell for somebody capable of being an average starter. It looks like a Dinwiddie S&T is the best fit out of the guys who could conceivably be available for that package.

Kyle Lowry S&T on a 2-year deal might be interesting. He would have to want to come here though, and my guess is that he'd rather go someplace like Miami.

Yeah does Kuz/bertans and trz/bryant some how get us a sign and trade with Lonzo if Beal can recruit him. And does dinwiddie realize he can't stay healthy and dies not nor will he get 20 + mill a year from any self respecting team. And take MLE money .

Shams Charania of The Athletic reported Friday morning that the Nets declined an offer from the Wizards — Harrell and Kuzma alone — to bring Dinwiddie to Washington.

Although Dinwiddie will become a free agent after declining his $12.3 million player option, the guard has publically said he is willing to return to Brooklyn and re-sign … if the Nets can present a five-year, $125 million contract. Marks wouldn’t put a number on his market value, but noted how Dinwiddie is “likely in line for generational money and he deserves it.”

I'd go after Rondo if all else fails in FA as a vet stopgap.

We'll see what Tommy does...

I am not a fan of signing Dinwiddie: too injury prone and -from press reports- very expensive..do we want to lock ourselves into him for >$20 mn/year? I don't..

I would love Lonzo Ball, but is going to be very tricky...he'll have plenty of suitors willing to pay him top $$$$.

Free agent options for a 1 or 2 year contract with the full MLE ($9-10mn/year): Dragic and Patty Mills. Both could provide a decent stopgap option.

My favorite outcome would be to do a trade with the Spurs for Derrick White. I think Murray is not realistic as the Spurs will likely ask for a LOT in return for him. But they may ask for less with Derrick White...would Kuzma + Bryant/Harrell + maybe a future 2nd do the trick? The Spurs have leaked they are listening for trade offers on White, and are in need of a back-up center. Kuzma may also fit them well as a Rudy Gay replacement...

Derrick White is signed for 4 more years ($73 mn/4yrs). He is a good defender and decent 3 pt shooter (36% career + 83% from FT line). He has great basketball IQ and size at 6'4" height with 6'7.5" wingspan. He would be a great compliment to Beal.

The nets are not spending that money on him . We could sign him our right with the full MLE. I know a lot of people are saying no he's not gonna take a pay cut but with his age(28) and injuries. He might be better off taking the safe 4 year MLE and baking some opt outs I there Incase he's out playing that in a year or two.

Wright in sac town, White in San, kemba in OKC, Rozier in Carolina are all better and probably cheaper options than over paying to over pay dinwidie. Or full court pressing for a Lonzo sign and trade. Still a better option than over paying to over pay dinwidie.

I love Derrick White. Only issue is his health.

Too many Forwards... I guess they planning on letting Avdija run the offense as a big PG and send him to 1-2 positions, i think it's good but i'm not sure if he's ready yet. The team still needs this classic PG (for rotation reasons mostly). Still it's too soon to be sure of that, I think we gonna see another changes in the roster.
