Same here.

As in any such situation, I suppose it would depend on what you could get for KP.

Beal's not going anywhere and Kuzma will be resigned

Our only hope is to lose games and get lucky in the lottery.

What if Miami calls us in the offseason with an offer of Herro + Lowry + multiple 1sts?

We’ll for that Brad has to waive his NTC first…

Understood. But don't you think he'd want to go to Miami and play for a contender in a warm weather city with no state income taxes?

Man, I sincerely hope so! A competent GM should be in his ear suggesting such possibility. Our current GM alas gave him the NTC :banghead:

Wizards are 7-3 without KP. Weird stat of the day.

Anything is possible but I just don't see the motivation. Is Butler - Beal - Adebayo really a team to fear? Lose in DC or lose in Miami. I can see Beal holding out to go to a team where he could clearly win. Or trying to make a deal to go to Boston to play with his boy Tatum.

There’s a handful of realistic Beal trade options in the 11-19 draft slots. NOP/LA/NY/GS/Miami. Even Portland at 7 could be an option.

I don’t think the Wizards will ever consider moving him, but it would drastically change the direction of the franchise in a positive manner.

Even if you don’t land a top 5 pick, they could easily trade down from 6-8 for a couple mid to late 1sts. 3 first round picks in the 12-20 range are going to be every bit as valuable as the 6-8 range in this particular draft.

Podziemski/Coulibaly/Cissoko are all better prospects than anyone mocked in the 6-20 range currently, and it’s not even close in my opinion.

Let Kuzma walk or S&T him to a contending team with no cap space and let WUJ build an actual winning culture.

Re-sign Porzingis to a 4 year deal and be open to moving him in the next couple of years for the right deal.

It's amazing how bad this team's defense is, even with Delon Wright being good on the ball, Gafford protecting the rim, and Deni at least tries on the perimeter. Are the other guys, ahem Beal, Kuzma, that bad?

Could there be a stealth tank going on here?

BTW, kudos to Davis for making the progress he's made this season. He's been criticized a lot, though I suppose it's easier to take all the dumping-on when you're making $5 million a year. Still, he went through injury, starting a family, and normal rookie adjustments, but plugged away and is definitely doing better now.

Kudos to the Wiz for signing Cooks. Boldish move with the multiyear deal. A cynic might say that a 4 year $6 million deal pales compared to that unmentioned $250 million deal, but come on it's Sunday morning, time to look on the bright side.

Kudos to WUJ for improving this year, though there's still a long way to go.

Kudos to Goodwin and Gill for playing great when they actually see the court.

Kudos to everything about the Go-Go, and to Ted (!?!?!?!?) for putting together a strong farm team organization.

Kudos to Quenton Jackson for triple-doubling the other night, and all the Go-Gos for winning by almost 50.

Once a Wiz fan, always a Wiz fan. Though it sure would be nice if they won more than they lost once in a while.

Kudos to Davis for no longer looking like the worst top 10 pick in the last 5 years. Maybe he's even playable! How exciting!

Kudos to Cooks for getting paid but clearly NOT betting on himself. 4yrs for 6 mil is crazy in today's NBA. Something we usually don't see is a guy giving up earning potential to be locked into an extremely modest deal. Says alot about his confidence and his market. Either way its hard to imagine a 6-8 27 yr old non-shooter having a real impact.

Kudos to undrafted free agent Quenton Jackson for being the best rookie on the roster up to now. I hope he gets his time to shine this summer.

Kudos to Corey Kispert for being the most impactful draft pick Shepp has chosen the last four years. He's establishing himself as playable 8th/9th man in the rotation. Too bad he can't get up more shots.

And to think both of them are in their 20s.

I played pickup against Mike at UMD's gym so many times when I went back to do my Masters. He acting like he 40 years old. It is wild to me. But so impressive.

C Kristaps Porzingis x Daniel Gafford
PF Victor Wembamyama x Deni Avdija x Xavier Cooks
SF Corey Kispert
SG Bradley Beal x Johnny Davis x Quenton Jackson
PG Monte Morris x Delon Wright x Jordan Goodwin

We luck into Wemby and it opens up a world of possibilities. I think Wemby comes in as one of the few rookies to have a significant impact, especially defensively. KP & Wemby would be a pretty dynamic frontcourt on both sides of the ball and a great starting point for any roster.

Beal probably stays in this scenario and would likely enjoy playing off a true franchise quality talent.

Kuz likely still leaves for greener pastures but I would go hard after a Cam Johnson deal in a potential Kuz S&T or even seek a S&T for Johnson using Morris & Avdija as salary balast.
