Tough one tonight but I don't know, I feel like KCP made a ton of key shots. You could really go with any of Beal, Trez, or KCP and not go wrong. I'll go with Pope.

Looking like we'll open the season with 4 wins and 3 different POTGs not named Beal. Everybody eats?

Have to go with Trez again. After playing 38 minutes last night he came up huge again. He has already established himself as a team leader.

Honorable mention to KCP, 21 pts (and the dagger) along with 7 boards.

I'm going with Beal. Not for his scoring but for his floor game. 8 assists 1 turnover. That's the kind of playmaking this team needed with it's starting PG out

This. 4 good performances but I’ll go with KCP. Clutch and solid all around: 21 pts in just 10 FGs and 8 rebounds.

Brad was improved, but, 27 points on 26 shots & 4r FTAs is not POTG material, sorry. Not even with 8 boards & 8 assists (though they were nice to see!).

It would be great to give POTG to KCP -- & his work would have gotten it too, on many nights. But... not tonight.

In the end, it just has to be Trez! Again. How not?

We won this game, because we got 99 shots to their 88 shots & 21 FTAs to their 14. That should be obvious. Extra possessions.

Montrezl Harrell is the reason we had those extra possessions. He dominated the defensive board -- keeping Atlanta's offensive rebounds to only 6 as a team. Then he went out & got 6 of our 14 all on his own. Not to mention going 10-16 -- including A couple of 3-pointers he was essentially forced to take as the clock ran out.

POTG -- Montrezl Harrell. Without the slightest doubt.

I have to give it to Trez. He was big with his D when it mattered. He hit just about every shot.

Beal… he is turning into a volume shooter. Yeah, he got 20+ pts, but he had to take a lot of shots to get it.

I did not see the game but I love what Neto and Bertans did in limited minutes. Raul came off of injured to post 6-5-5 in 18 minutes. Bertans had 10 points in 18 minutes but I'm loving his back cuts to the rim and pocket passes to open shooters,

This team is nasty! In a good way

Harrell for POTG, with kudos to Kuz and Beal. Kyle rebounds and Beal didn't shoot us out of the game. KCP w five three. Kispert with positive contributions without even shooting.

PER and per minutes production over announcer negativity

Montrezl was being shat upon not unlike Javale McGee, prior to the past 4-5 seasons. Harrell's defense and losses in the playoffs as a Laker and a Clipper were being given all the focus.

I never agreed with the treatment.

Wizards are 4-1.

Teams cannot game plan against Harrell without leaving someone else who can beat them.

Montrezl has been a beast since he came into the league. The rest of the league will just have to catch up. You can live with his defense when he works this hard and scores this well. From what I saw tonight, he has my vote again though Beal and KCP deserve major kudos as well.

I thought it was much clearer this game that Trez was the POTG than in the previous game. Beal did some very good things, but his scoring was inefficient, and I really didn't think his defense was good on the whole - he couldn't handle Reddish. KCP was terrific in his role.

I was shocked to see KCP play with such energy, I always felt like he just sat in the corner and played D only on the Lakers and tonight he was driving to the rim, feeding the ball.

Even the guys that didn't play "well" showcased so much tonight, Deni, if he only he could learn to land an open dunk lmao, otherwise he was showcasing flashes of star potential at times. Bertans, he's out here passing, cutting, doing more than just shooting the ball. Tonight was a revelation, I think Wiz came out with something to prove, that we are a good team in the East this year and boy did everyone show up. Montrezl Harrell was the MVP though, Trez has been insane to start the season. Kyle Kuzma is averaging a double double this year, man there are literally..Beal, Dinwiddie, Trez, Kuzma, Neto, KCP..6 right now and then when Bryant and Rui come back probably 8 guys that could drop 20 on any night.

Also Corey Kispert, he actually looks really solid out there. He gets so few minutes, but when he has the ball he does really good things for the most part. His defense was the biggest surprise, he looks so comfortable on D and does some serious playmaking. I can't wait for an obvious blow out night and then he gets the full 4th quarter to just run around both ends of the floor. All the young talent on DC really shows a ton of potential.

I was dubious of Trez when we traded for him (mostly cause I didn't trust his team defense) but man has he been great. He's easily the POTG

I have Beal as POTG. His efficiency was only so-so, but it's harder for guards to score with efficiency this year given the rule change on drawing fouls. Ultimately, I thought Beal took nothing but good shots within the rhythm of the offense, and he was unselfish, making the right pace and the right read throughout the game. He was also quite good defensively. 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 1 turnover.

Harrell was 2nd
KCP 3rd

I went with Beal as well for the same reasons- also had a nice block on Dieng in the 4th. Plus the dunks he had were momentum killers in the 2nd half. He was generating a lot of attention + creating good looks.

Trez was really good though- 10-16 from the field - and really 10-14 from the field because 2 of those shots were desperation heaves at the end of the shot clock. Still, have to credit the Wizards ball movement most of the looks were generating by good penetration and passes from his teammates (I believe 7 out of 10 Harrell's baskets were assisted). Harrell of course did set up his teammates 5 assists (2 of those to Beal)- and the 13 boards were great.

I’m going with KCP. He was solid from start to finish and made the biggest shot of the game when ATL had momentum.

I really like KCP’s composure and maturity. Never tries to do to much. Doesn’t seem pressed with getting his touches or points—or the spotlight.

But you kinda sense that he’ll be there (on both ends of the court) when you need him.

KCP forsure. Big shot after big shot. Always plays solid defense.
