GT #37: Hornets @ Bullets 7 PM (NBCSW/980 AM)

YOUR Washington Bullets are 18-18. They went 10-3 and have gone 8-15 since then!

They're coming off a HEART BREAKING LOSS to the Bulls with DeRozan's GW shot over Corey Kispert and Bradley Beal.

On Monday night, they face the Hornets who are 2-0 against your Bullets. A critical game in the race for the 6th seed and beyond in the East. The Hornets are re-integrating guys coming back from COVID-19 protocols. LaMelo Ball has been brilliant. Terry Rozier has become a Wizards killer as evidenced by his last game at Capital One Arena.

Will the Bullets be able to beat Charlotte for the first time this season? Or are they gonna be on the road to getting swept.

Melo Ball. Though that is also a true statement.

The game isn't until tomorrow. I'll sticky the thread tomorrow morning.

This is what happens when you take an L to Lonzo’s team and prepare for the L to LaMelo’s team

After the quick start, I thought it was all over. But the Wiz are working on making 9-20 relevant again. Make 9-20 great again - the slogan the Wiz should have picked.

No problem. Play Beal 42 minutes at PG… and another 6 at center.

Tontos, DCZ, and I were having a discussion in another thread concluding our best team is Beal at the point, KCP at 2, Deni and Kuz at the forwards, and Gafford at center. I think this is the first game the Wiz started with that lineup, and wow... it's been tremendously effective - despite 2 ugly to's that led to Hornets easy baskets.

Didn't Bertans used to be a decent team defender? He left his man - Bridges to double-team someone who didn't need doubling, so they pass to Bridges wide-open under the basket for an easy layup. I just don't understand what Bertans has been doing... all season, tbh.

Ha, I motivated Davis! 2 3's in the last minute of the quarter. And what a quarter it was for Kuz - he's playing like it's the 4th quarter.

A first quarter lead, double digits no less? :eek1:

Nice to get an early lead with so many guys out.

Let me try this again - since it's true unfortunately... Bertans can't begin to cover Bridges or box him out for rebounds. His efforts at both ends have been laughable.

Playing with Kispert, Beal, and Bertans together forces Gafford to guard at least 2 people at once. It just doesn't work.
