YOUR Washington Bullets are 23-21 and continue a gauntlet of games against the NBA's best teams.

After a stunning blowout win over the 76ers, they welcome the short-handed Nets to town. Brooklyn is without Kevin Durant for 4-6 weeks due to a sprained MCL he suffered because his teammate Bruce Brown fell into his knee while flopping for a foul call. Quite frankly I'd be PISSED and wanting Brown off the team for that bullshid if I was a Nets fan!

The Nets will have Kyrie Irving who has been playing road games. Doesn't seem like he will ever get vaccinated to abide by NYC's mandate so he'll be a part-time player indefinitely. The Nets are coming off a tough loss to the Cavs.

The way to beat Brooklyn? Attack the paint as there are no shot blockers right now.

Will the Bullets take advantage or will we see the terrible defense, bad shot making, and low energy team we've seen for lots of the last two months?

I have a few questions.

How is it that Kyrie can play? I thought you needed proof of vaccination to get into Capital One arena and other such venues in DC.

Harden’s beard Vs. Dinwiddie’s beard?

Where is Joe Harris?

Has Blake Griffin’s forehead elongated?

1. I forgot the vaccine mandate went into effect at Capital One Arena. No idea if it will affect the players but I'm gonna assume Kyrie skirts the rule somehow. :o

2. Harden's beard has gone nuclear.

3. Joe Harris is still out with that ankle injury. He's supposedly close to returning.

4. His hairline may have to do with that.

In Brooklyn's last game, they started 2 unheralded rookies - DayRon Sharpe (who I underrated) and Kessler Edwards (who I thought was underrated). If they continue to start, we need to take advantage. And without Durant, they're not a very athletic team. Don't let Edwards have wide open 3's - he can do what Kispert does.

Watch out for DayRon Sharpe. He's going to rebound and score well. I liked him a lot in this past draft.

Hopefully, we see this game as the one where Holiday goes ahead of Neto on the depth chart. Holiday played very well in the Portland loss - particularly in the 4th quarter - both offensively and defensively.

Thanks for sharing that.

My biggest takeaway?

Joseph Blair is one really good dude.

Keep the combination of Irving/Harden under 50 and we probably have a much better chance at winning.
Of course either one could get 50 by themself.

Yeah, I'm happy he's in the Wiz org. When you think about it, what were the odds that he'd be the Wiz head coach at all this season, and somehow it happened/is happening for a little while, and maybe there's a cosmic reason for it. Just sayin - maybe it's all coincidence, but ya never know.

Joseph Blair. Man. I like our staff. He has a Phil Jackson vibe about him. I could for sure see him as a head coach some day. Seems like players would fight like hell for this calibre of human.

I think that Wes is great but I may like Blair more. I hope that he's not our Kyle Shannon/Sean McVey. Future superstar coach who we will let get away.

As for the game, I still stand by the fact that we will be a very good and hard to beat team at full strength. As long as the rotations are good, I'm not picking against us until we lose. We will win a good amount of these games over the hard stretch

I didn't want to say it, but is it bad I love Blair, as a personality, more than Wes? I'd love to have a drink with this dude.

This team is different without Durant, but Harden presents the same problems as Embiid. He’ll most likely get his and drag half our team into foul trouble along the way. But I think we’ll be ok. We’ve played this Brooklyn team tough the past 2 years.

The good thing about the remaining 10 games of "the gauntlet" is that the first 4 and the last 3 are home games - not to mention that it starts and ends with games against the Nets while Durant's out. Gotta take advantage of every break like that to survive - or perhaps even thrive - the gauntlet.

Kyrie and James are great but they and that lineup should not be great defensively. Whatever they get on offense, our guards should be able to do the same against them. Spencer finally playing well with Brad, he will want to play well against his former team, neither of those guys should be able to stop Brad, and I like the match ups with the rest of our group against theirs

Kyrie just killing us. Who needs KD when you have Mills, Irving and Harden? You can't leave any of those guys to help on Kyrie.
