GT #46: Raptors @ Bullets 8 PM (NBCSW/106.7 FM)

YOUR Washington Bullets are 23-22 and continue their homestand against their competition in the East for postseason positioning!

On Wednesday night, we saw your Bullets go down 16 points to the Nets playing terrible defense. They made a comeback, Nets assistant and Silver Spring, MD native David Vanterpool deflected the ball, and we saw a final 15 seconds where the Nets were scrambling and the Bullets couldn't get a bucket.

The Raptors come to town. The season series is 1-1. The last meeting saw Fred Van Vleet dominate. No one on the Bullets seems to be able to guard this guy. Toronto's length shuts down Bradley Beal forcing other Bullets players to step up. Luckily, Washington has its full roster with a little more firepower coming off the bench.

Nick Nurse is only playing an 8 man rotation with Gary Trent Jr. still out. The Raps are coming off a narrow loss to Luka and the Mavs.

This is a bad matchup for the Bullets. I think Toronto wins by about 7 points as I see Siakam and Van Vleet running wild.

So many Wiz killers on this Raptors team.

From Van Vleet to Siakam to the dude from SDSU and the Canadian Rookie whasshishame.

Not so bullish on this one. Hope to be surprised though.

Does Rui get the start with Kuz out

So no Kuz due to a neck issue. Deni starting at the 4. Don't think Rui is ready for big minutes. Deni has been iffy as a starter. Just needs to calm down and try not to get into early foul trouble.

Deni started the game very good though. Great defense. Playmaking the game very well with some nice assists to his friends (especially Bryant). Looking sharp tonight so far and has a huge part in this lead.

Good start other than Dinwiddie's terrible shot selection. You have Watanabe on you and you are shooting fadeaways. I guess it's Trez time in the second quarter, but please don't go away from Bryant and Gafford. We are killing them in the paint and on PNR.

i'm sorry but with the lead . wizards offence play looks awful . Hachimura trying to score in the first moment he get the ball... same for Bertans (after 18 seconds of playing!!!) . seems like it still everyone for himself team to me . just a better talented players than the Raptors

I don't see it that way. I think we're scoring at ease because we're getting into the paint. We're looking at matchups or PNR. Everything can't be pretty. Sure, Hachimura is going to shoot a lot, but his mid-range game looks on. I don't care how you score as long as you do it, whether it's on great ball movement or finding mismatches.

Rui is going back to old Rui with 8 and 4. Trez does not need to play the entire quarter, but I'm sure he will because rotation says he has to.

Honestly i think our offense except of Dinwiddie's fadeaways is pretty ok. The ball moves and being shared with everyone, even Bertans passes the ball and that's something unique to see.

Kispert and Dinwiddie are struggling on the defensive end to be kind.

Here we go again with Trez killing us defensively. This is utterly stupid to leave Trez get destroyed time and time again and to see Gafford dominate and not play in the second quarter. It's beyond idiotic.

This 3 center rotation is silly... Just trade Harrell.

Scottie Barnes has like 20 points in the paint. No Gafford though.
