GT #49: Bullets @ Grizzlies 8 PM (NBCSW/980 AM) [1/29/22]

YOUR Washington Bullets are 23-25 and made history on Wednesday night.
After being up 35 points on the Clippers, Ty Lue benched his veterans, played his hungry young guys who are 2nd round picks or undrafted largely and the Clippers stormed back. Your Bullets quit playing, looked dazed, Wes Unseld stuck to scripted rotations without adjustments and the result was #SoWizards on a million. The homestand ends at 3-5 over 8 games.
The trade deadline is fast approaching. Tommy Sheppard is going into his 3rd deadline. A Beal trade isn't happening. And I doubt this franchise will get a "big fish" and Ted Leonsis will not allow them to blow it up.
On Saturday night, they travel to Memphis. Now THAT'S a franchise that has shown how to conduct a masterclass in team building. Star PG Ja Morant has been sepctacular since returning from injury. The Grizz find themselves 3rd in the West and a roster full of their own draft picks, low key free agent signings, and trade acquisitions has fit to have them surging over the last 45 days.
In the first meeting this season, the Bullets had a 30 point lead on these same Grizzlies.
It was part of the Bullets surge to that 10-3 start.
Safe to say we can expect the Grizzlies to win this by a similar amount. Grizz will be coming off a back to back with the Jazz.
