Well now, this is news. Not sure what drove this if it wasn't the Browns thing. but whatever it was, I'm sure it's not good given his recent promotion (lol, more egg on Terd's face).

If it's not good, maybe it pushes Beal to request a trade and helps save Terd from his own incompetence.

I always wondered what would cause someone to jump from football to basketball. You can make a case that the skill sets being used are transferable, but still…
Whatever the case, he has been “removed”.

Brown probably realized pretty quick Ted won't let the franchise be run in a professional and competent manner. Not a yes man? Move on.

It doesn't have to be anything sinister or a repudiation of Ted. Running the Ravens is a bigger job than being part of a three-headed leadership structure @ Monumental. Plus he gets to keep his family in the area (assuming that's important to him).

Yeah, that's true. The Ravens are one of the many non-embarrassing franchises out there. Definitely a step up from being with an embarrassing franchise.

Still, seems weird. He may or may not be connected to the Browns stuff, but he got a raise and promotion just a few months ago - I found the article put out by the NBA with all the Leonsis fluffery included - https://www.nba.com/wizards/sheppard-brown-contract-extensions-promotions (ignore the last paragraph about junior Leonsis being given a job where he seems to just take money from pops' company and starts up his own ventures or whatever else he wants with it - not even sure why they included that bit, lol. They half tried to hide it at the bottom of the article so even they knew it was embarrassing.).

Not sure what the work culture is at this level in professional sports, but taking that kind of promotion and quitting 3 months later - is that a thing? I guess maybe if your dream job comes open, you do what you need to do.

I men being the head or a sports group. Monumental sports and basically just being over thos other gms at that point is sort of like baby sitting.

Getting a call to lead the ravens is a huge upgrade. He's making the final calls and building the team. Also he came from football that's probably his passion.
