GT #59: Spurs @ Bullets 7 PM (NBCSW/980 AM)

Post#1 » by FAH1223 » Fri Feb 25, 2022 3:23 pm

YOUR Washington Bullets are 27-31 and they face an important tanking matchup post-All Star Break!

With everyone returning from vacation destinations, we may see a sluggish or.. a refreshed squad tonight.

In terms of the tankathon, the Spurs are ahead of the Bullets multiple games in the loss column. Dejounte Murray is an All-Star returning from the NBA 75 festivities in Cleveland. Coach Pop is only a few wins away from making history and San Antonio continues to compete but not finish games. Their net rating is that of a .500 team. Their tank has been excellent.

A critical 32nd loss MUST BE incoming with the time to catch other lottery teams diminishing.

TANK, TANK, TANK!

Spurs in town?

That should mean something if you're a betting man.

Speaking of betting, I'd bet on our bench out-playing our starters.

I believe in Zach Collins having a coming out party!

We're just 3 games behind the Nets - for 8th place in the East. I think Vegas had the Nets as favorites to win the East at the beginning of the season.

Let me do my part in the chat hungry and sweepstakes and say of course we’re going to make the playoffs for sure and probably be like a seven seat

No I really do think they’re going to play well the whole rest of the season which probably means they won’t play well

Going into every game, my heart wants them to win, but my head says... whoa there heart, I'm in charge, and I'm telling you it's best for them to lose. Yeah, they don't get along very well.

Even if we have a losing record the rest of the season I am afraid is too late to tank hard as there are 6-7 teams at the bottom that we can't reach in the "tanking" standings. I also think is highly unlikely we'll make the 10th seed unless the Hawks, Hornets or Nets have a huge meltdown. In summary, the Wiz are stuck in no man's land for a likely 9-13th pick...But hey there is always the remote possibility the Unicorn raises from his ashes, plays for +20 games to end the season, we make the playin, we reach the 1st round of the playoffs and Terd is as happy as Larry

The Hornets.. UNFORTUNATELY.. have lost 9 of their last 10. :banghead: :banghead:

The Nets keep losing. KD might be back soon but its unclear. NYC vaccine mandate is still in place so Kyrie can only play less than half of the games remaining... and Atlanta lost a heart breaker to DeRozan and the Bulls last night.

Hopefully these guys keep losing... like substantially. The nice wins gotta stop.

The Nets might be the most bizarre team in history. They could end up as the 10th seed, win the play-in, and if everything breaks right for them - win the NBA championship. It's not likely, but I could see it.

Kispert continues strong run tonight - 19 pts., 4 rebounds.

Wiz win 117-88.
Can't say I do. Who else gonna shoot?

I was saying this in the last game thread, the Hornets are starting to scare me a bit, in that they could potentially fall out of the top 10. They can't stop anyone and without fresh legs like early in the season, they aren't going to run you out of the building every game.

KCP on fire. He's so much better when he's deliberate on offense, when he over thinks and tries to do too much, that's when he's ineffective offensively.

Counting last game against this team (The Floater-mo), San Antonio has made like 80% of its midrangers against us.
