GT #62: ATL Hawks @ Bullets 7 PM (NBCSW/980 AM) [3/4/22]

YOUR Washington Bullets are 28-33 and with their W over the Pistons now an even 4-4 since the NBA Trade Deadline.

The tank looked revved up but has since stopped. Potentially it'll get moving on track with the ATL Hawks coming into town in a PIVOTAL game for the race to the Play-In Tournament. Atlanta is about a game ahead of your Bullets and the Hawks have had absolutely dreadful defensive performances which typically happen in the 2nd and 4th quarters.

John Collins has been out and Trae Young's brilliance has been overshadowed by how bad Nate McMillan's squad has performed at stopping the other team.

It's an odd team. But they should have enough firepower to get the Bullets out of the way!

Unfortunately, the Hawks will be on a back-to-back with a game vs. Chicago on Thursday night.

I really don’t get how this Hawks record is so bad. That team is loaded with talent.

It’s their defense. Especially how their backcourt puts their bigs in terrible position.

Clint Capela has been frustrated.

Hawks just beat the Bulls tonight

Wiz win this one - 136-90. Rui gets his first double double - 17 and 11.

Maybe not a 46 point win  but I think we weirdly match up well with Atl. It all starts with Young, and he's one of the smaller PG's in the NBA, so our small PG's can contain him, and we have Sato to be a change of pace. Ish and Neto will combine for 28 points and 10 assists. And we might have the quickness advantage in the front court.

This is an important tank loss against the 10th-seeded team. Only really looking at the young guys. Rui looks smooth on his jumper. Would like to see him grab a rebound every now and then. Deni is not playing poor D, but he has to put his arms up when Bogdanovic is shooting. Make him uncomfortable. Kispert 0-2 from 3pt. What else is new?

absolutely hoping for a loss, and at the same time, development time for the young players.
I cant say that I am seeing anything that stands out about the play of Rui, Deni, and Corey in this first half. They all need to do much more.
Kuzma has played a good game so far. I hope we keep him, because he is now an above average player. Not only that, there is a little swag or maybe just maturity about him on the court.

One of the rare games lately I like Kuzma's floor game approach, and he's not even making his threes. It think he just look like a much better player when he's not floating around out there on the perimeter.

Hawks love to shoot 3s. Don't really defend much save for Capela and Hunter. Now they are off and Wiz are coming back.

Thing is, I like this team. Even when we are losing, I like the dudes who are on it. And generally how they play. I just wish they were better LOL.

Bryant is a magnet for head scratching plays, even when its not his fault. He just makes so many mistakes.

Don't think the Hawks are playing that well. Just jacking up a lot of 3s, but Bogdanovic has been filthy. Not just threes, but two contested twos at the buzzer at the end of quarters.

Finally Sato at PG…Ish and Neto are the biggest tank commanding duo ever…

Kuzma has got to cut out these soft ass fades out. They're not even necessary most of the time.

I mean…No Beal+Porzingis plus extended minutes of the Neto+Ish horror show against a fully loaded Hawks…almost mission impossible
