GT #63: Pacers @ Bullets 6 PM (NBCSW/980 AM)

Post#1 » by FAH1223 » Sun Mar 6, 2022 3:00 am

YOUR Washington Bullets are 28-34 and now looking like they'll be firmly out of the Play-In Tournament!

The losses gotta start piling up as some other teams have gotten the memo (San Antonio, New York... ) and lottery positioning is becoming more difficult.

The new-look Pacers come to DC for the last time this season. They took an L to the Pistons in their last one.

Porzingis is listed as PROBABLE to make his Bullets debut. So, there's that, I guess.

The debut of the Porzinga!!!

Seeing Neto as the starting PG is an eye sore though…can’t understand Wes’ love for him

Sure as heck hope it’s Gafford off the bench instead of Bryant.

Nah, we'll probably opt for further alienating our guy that is signed for the next 3 seasons instead of the guy who is likely gone in the offseason knowing this franchise.

Refs took it to heart what Kuzma said about the refs hating us... 8 trips to the line in a little less than 4 minutes.

Love this massive lineup with Gafford, Rui, Kuz, and Deni.

The whole wing rotation has been great. Going Kuzma/KCP/Kispert to Kuzma/Deni/KCP to Kuzma/Deni/Rui has kept great size out there the whole time without defensive weak points 2-4. Wonder if we see Kispert come in to slide Deni or Rui up to 4 next or give a Porzingis/Gafford pairing a try.

edit: it was Kispert who came back in, and then Sato for Deni

Dear Wes: stop playing Sato at SG. He is a PG period who should play instead of your love child Neto…

We have a plethora of centers and forwards who can give different looks and do different things well. This team can be quite good if they are able to use all that height to their advantage.

Why is freaking Ish Smith shooting so many 3s. He and Neto are certainly the worst PG combo in the league by a long stretch.

Ish can't keep hold of the ball, man. Also that no-call on the Porzingis block LOL

The Kuzma fades have to end when it isn't a desperation situation. It's by-and-large, a TO at this point.

Love Deni, but I really wish we took Hali instead. Perfect point guard to play next to Brad.

Honestly, the longer I watch Wes line up choices, the less I like them. His unwavering love for Neto is the “cherry on top”…

Even I can guard Deni on 1-1
He brings nothing creative offensivly, and when he tries it looks embarrassing.
The maximum he can do is going hard to the right, or take a wide open 3, he can't do consistently anything else besides that.
Just give him a G league experience so he'll work on his game, right now it's not good enough.

Edit: Despite his good game in the end because of the 2nd half, that's still relevant in case we want to improve his offensive game. A couple of weeks there to find his game, so he'll be more consistent here in the league and so he'll know his "package" a little bit more.

He needs to take Kuz’ advice; be more aggressive and take advantage of his size. He’s got a strong lower base and we’ve seen him be successful the few times he’s posted up, not sure why he doesn’t go to it more often.
