YOUR Washington Bullets are 2-0!

They'll probably only win 36 more games but its nice to finally beat Chicago with Wiz killer DeRozan for a change.

On Sunday, the Bullets travel to Cleveland to face the new-look Cavs. Donovan 'Spida' Mitchell is no longer in Utah due to last month's trade. The Cavs lost their season opener in Toronto. They play the Bulls on Saturday.

Darius Garland is UNLIKELY to play on Sunday due to an eye laceration suffered vs. the Raptors. Who starts at PG? Probably Mitchell but we'll see how JB Bickerstaff manages his lineups.

Last season, the Cavs won the season series 2-1 with one of those wins being a convincing beatdown in DC on Ludacris night. I remember, I was there!

Will the story be different on Sunday?

If Garland is out and Cleveland is on a back-to-back, it's going to give us the best opportunity we can hope for to come away with a win against a superior team.

Revenge game for Neto. Raul goes off for 50 points.

Smart teams are tanking early. No Turner/Theiss, no Ball/LaVine, no Garland. Important to rack up those quality losses against a team like the Wizards.

Right, get the early losses in now because after the all-star break we are going to see some weird lineups. Indy seems committed early. Utah not so much. Chicago likely loses their pick and they are getting LaVine back so IMO that's still the biggest competition for one play-in spots along with the Knicks. When Charlotte gets LaMelo back they may be in the mix as well unless they trade Rozier.

Cavs run through the Bulls. They'll be rested for tomorrow. Good test.

Time to get over last yrs stats and thinking last yrs best teams are this yrs best teams
Sure Harden is scoring but Philly is a sloooow team, Miami needs a KUz or Rui at PF and doesnt have them, Brooklyn is injured and Simmons as an aversion to scoring , 3-0 Boston is missing their best defensive player Robert Wms and Orlando with their big guys played them tough.
As in all NBA seasons young talent gets better and older vets get older ,just the way it is. Some will say the Wiz didnt play the best teams yet but 3 so called "best teams" are already showing their weaknesses. **** happens and the Wiz are on the precipice with their deep "tall" team of challenging the status quo. The Wiz havent even played in season games together yet.,We've only seen 2 games of KP and Beal together. Even KP and Kuz had minimal games together. Lets count the games on our hands how many games KP ,Beal,Kuz ,Deni,Rui, Gaff, and Kispert have played together. Like it or not WUJ has choosed the young guys has his direction for this franchise.

As long as 7'3"KP is manning the middle and he has 6'10" Kuz and 6'9" Deni next to him the Wiz are going big and then pairing up Rui 6'8" and Gaff 6'10" as the core of the 2nd unit the youngbloods have taken over.

I'm saying dont look at the score of who they beat but the win/loss record as they start learning how to play together . We havent even seen KP play a good game yet or Rui dominate a game or Deni play a fully healthy game of alot of minutes . Every game is showing a new season and looking up last yrs stats is not watching this yrs games. The Wiz have young talent and they are playing !

Wes "Mr. October" Jr. has a .875 career win % in October. No way we lose this.

Happy with 2-0. Going to put us in a tough spot to hit 9-20, but the legend of 9-20 is forever (thanks Mr. Tony!).

We take this one 131-90. Zing gets going in this game - 26 and 11. Rui breaks out, gets 2 assists in one game.

Give the points and take the Cavs. The over is clear play, don’t see either team worrying about playing defense in this one.

Gonna be a hard one to win tonight. I'd definitely like to see Rui have a solid outing.

How does a team with Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen forget about playing defense?
Read on Twitter

Isaac Okoro as well stays active on D.

I guess Spida and Brad tend to go off vs. each other. Though Brad has been concentrating on defense more than he has in the past. Likewise Mitchell has been picking up at this end. If I was betting I'd take the under. Though I don't even know what the line is.

I'm personally curious to see what this Wiz team does against a big mobile frontcourt. Mobley is one of the few bigs who can guard a high post shooter like KP. Kuzma doesn't do so well when the interior is clogged, tends to jack shots from outside trying to draw them out. Nobody has yet stepped up as a go-to outside shooter who can turn the court inside out. I'd bet Allen is in drop coverage most of the game with Mobley roaming in a free safety role.

Mitchell goes for 40, Beal, Porzingis and Kuzma go for 60, both teams lockdown in 4th (40 total points) and Wright picks Neto’s pocket twice and forces other turnovers. Wizards 108-106 on final play for Kuzma — and he hits Wright for the easy layup!

Good start. Deni looks a little rough with that ankle.

Porzinga beasting and Beal very solid defensively. Best I have seen Brad on D in a long time.

Wizards look focused and they're doing a much better job executing on offense.
