The Wizards have opened the season with a 3-1 record. The Wizards are currently 2nd in the East with a 3-1 record. By my calculation that doesn't equate to very good lottery odds. Anyways, the Wizards can attempt to improve their record against the Pacers before their schedule gets tougher with games against Boston, 2 games against Philadelphia, Brooklyn, and Memphis.

The Pacers have only one win on the season- against a Detroit team that the Wizards took care of fairly easily. However, as is Wizards tradition, a few injuries have occurred. Bradley Beal left the game with back soreness and returned later to score 11 points in the 4th quarter. Delon Wright also left the game dealing with a hamstring issues. But the Wizards played well lead by Barton, Kuzma, and Porzingis. Johnny Davis even played 3 minutes of garbage time.

Big questions-

- Can the Wizards take care of business against a Pacers team- otherwise this may be the peak of the Wizards season as far as winning percentage goes as they are on pace for 60.5 wins.

Mathurin definitely looks like he'll be a really good player for a long time.

All the same, at this point he isn't even one of the top 4 rookies so far: Walker Kessler, Tari Eason, Christian Braun & Andrew Nembhard.

As to the other 4 guys on that "power ranking," Ivey has looked good, but Shaedon Sharpe has been better than Banchero, Murray & Duren.

Was watching some of the Brooklyn v Bucks game. Lots of big names but both getting older. Feels to me like we are in the midst of a changing of the guard. The Grizz, the Cavs and a few others just look faster and more interested.

When I watch other EC contenders, I'm amazed we win any games against them at all.

The Pacers game is important 'cause things are about to get a whole lot harder.
Assuming you actually want to win that is.

Philly, currently at 1-4, is going to be in an evil desperate mood when we see them.

Game is also on ESPN.

Shocking we got an ESPN game this early in the season

BTW, I'm not feeling ESPN's new NBA theme.

Oh no, he was really living up to the high expectations had for him. These can linger so target the new year for his full return. hopefully.

Rotation will be interesting. I know we're not putting JD out there.

Jordan Goodwin is next man up

I dont agree with next man up is Goodwin or Davis .....the next man up is Deni Avidja who presently is only getting 17 mpg . This is Deni's turn and opportunity. He's shown in FIBA he can run a team and with Cunningham ,Luka ,even Franz Wagner and Paolo bringing the ball up he's very capable of the same.

If it means extra minutes for Rui and Wil Barton well then good for that as well. The Wiz only need to shorten the rotation a few more games and then Kispert will come a gunning back into the lineup.

Shame KP missed an easy layup -soft lefty lay in. But Morris struggles against bigger guards. Bad foul that led to a 3-point play and gets outjumped on defensive rebound. It's early, but 3-point D not there. They are getting a ton of wide open looks
