GT #9: Nets @ Bullets 7 PM (NBCSW/980 AM) [11/4/22]

YOUR Washington Bullets are 4-4!

They're coming off a weird win in Philadelphia as Chase pointed out.
Read on Twitter

Deni and Rui played well. KP and Brad played like All-Stars. Encouraging but again, its against a depleted squad.

On Friday, the Bullets welcome a franchise in chaos. The Nets are coming off a summer where KD requested a trade, then requested Steve Nash and Sean Marks fired, then returned to the team in September when it was clear that Joe Tsai was not trading him in year one of his new 4-year $200M contract. Then there's the Kyrie situation stemming back a couple seasons now where he hasn't been available to play due to one reason or another. And this past week, Kyrie found himself in a media storm due to sharing a film with anti-semitic tropes. And then there's the coach. Steve Nash was fired this week and suddenly, disgraced suspended Celtics HC Ime Udoka is now reportedly the next coach of the Nets (he was an assistant there in 2020-21). Sean Marks hasn't confirmed this reporting.

And we haven't even gotten to Ben Simmons!

The Nets do not defend and are reliant on outscoring their opponents. If the Bullets are going to get a win at home, they will need to defend the 3 and make some 3s.

I think this is a #SoWizards classic 'get right' game for Brooklyn. I expect them to win by 8-10 points.

Deni has to 360 windmill dunk on Kyrie. You all know why

For that to happen, he has to take a rebound, run coast to coast, and dribble through half the nets team.

Win or lose, just please no postgame quotes with veiled support for Kyrie.
Making extreme statements like "only" sounds like there are "no" Jokics in this draft? Jokic is an engine that was drafted in the 2nd round. Always a chance to see diamond dropped by sloppy burgular after a theft.

Have to believe the game tomorrow played a role in the Nets suspending him now.

My prediction of 44 wins was based on an inordinate number of opponents missing their best or second best player. Nets looked at the schedule and said, “let’s start the suspension now, we can win this one without him.”

Another team underestimates the mighty Wizards and their Medium-Sized 3. Wizards lead at half, open up a big lead going into the fourth, almost completely blow it, and pull out a victory in the final minute 126 to 122.

Simmons with swelling in his knee isn’t traveling with the team to Washington or Charlotte.

Curry ankle injury management? is questionable :-?

Feeling like a monster game from KD possible.

It's that time of the year again. The time when Patty Mills makes us his biotch.

Awesome. I’m expecting a big year 2 from Kispert. Sneaky good pick

Glad to see Kispert back but minutes shouldnt come at Rui or Deni's expense ..... Keep Gaff at about 10 mpg and eventually Bartons minutes shrink for Kispert. The core going forward is KP,Beal,Deni,Kuz,Rui,Kispert with maybe Gaff.

The annoying thing is that we let it happen every game. He’s only out there to shoot 3s, but he’ll get a few wide open 3s, and we’ll call a time out to tell someone to guard him.

The Nets are in disarray, this is exactly the type of game the Wizards have a knack of losing.
