Gotta be Kuz. But Rui was also really good. Goodwin and Gafford chipped in too. I love how the team plays with Goody in there.
In Rizzo we trust

1. Kuzma
2. Gafford
3. Rui

Rui shot efficiently, but the 4 turnovers really offset his overall effectiveness. Ultimately, it took him 19 possessions to score 23 points which is nice, but nothing to write home about. I'm not saying he was bad or anything, but he wasn't as good as Gafford.

Kuz. He showed some leadership from the bench. He nailed some 3ptrs which were difficult and timely. Got some strong rebounds.
It was also a nice showing from Rui. He made the most of his time on the court.
I also think, despite the stats, that Avdija did a good job guarding Luka. That is a tall task. He also got a bunch of rebounds.

Great win. Kinda crazy it happened with $75 million sitting on the bench in Beal and Zingus. Goodwin seems pretty, pretty good!
Can't say I do. Who else gonna shoot?

Kuz wasn't going to let us lose to Dinwiddie

That is equating a turnover to a missed FGA rebounded by the opponent. But, I have read that regressions show that statistically a TO is somewhat more of a negative than that.

I.e. statistically an opponent's offensive possession off a TO is more likely to lead to a score by the opponent than an opponent's offensive possession off their defensive rebound. In fact, 1 TO is about equivalent negatively to the positive effect of 2 defensive boards. Which would mean that, roughly speaking, you could assess Rui's outing based o his outstanding shooting minus the negative of a couple of fouls.

Leave out the turnovers & also leave out the rebounds, iow.

Rui had a +20 against Dallas last night. Highest by far on the team. But POTG goes to Kuz.

Kuz. Rui looked good, happy to see it. Multiple players had their best game of the year. Gaff got his double double. Jordan Goodwin plays hisass off every minute he is out there, and it was good to see he got to finish the game while Morris sat. Deni struggled but he still played solid defense on Doncic, and likewise was played long minutes late game to preserve the lead.

I also credit Jason Kidd for cooling off Dinwiddie with a poorly timed bench rest, and Luka Doncic for ignoring the hot hand.

...& in fact, the bench as a whole was +50 -- pretty cool.

I agree Kuz gets the game ball -- even though he was -2.

Or, to put it another way, +/- often seems pretty disconnected from how well a guy plays that night....
