GT #26: Bullets @ Pacers 7 PM (NBCSW/980 AM)

YOUR Washington Bullets are 11-14!

Losers of 7 of the last 8, the tank rolls on!

On Friday night, they head back to where this season began, at Indiana!

The Pacers have been surprising the NBA. Ben Mathurin is in the ROY conversation, his fellow 2022 draft teammate Andrew Nembhard has been HOOPIN, and Tyrese Haliburton has been masterful. Indy's shooting has been superb and Rick Carlisle has hit the right buttons with one of the youngest teams he's ever coached.

Look for the Pacers to bounce back and maybe blow out your Bullets again@

Wizards moving up - 20.5% at a top 4 pick and 4.5% for #1. If they don't move up or down, they would have the #8 pick.

At this stage, let's pray for more losses. The Wiz should aim to be a bottom 5 team if at all possible.

It's true. Mathurin is highly regarded already.

Ok, his rebounding is below average, but that doesn't matter.
He does turn the ball over more than average -- but why would that be important?
He's way below average in assists, but who would pay attention to that?
Ditto for steals & blocks -- bad! -- but these things are trivial.

Here's the thing tho: Mathurin scores almost 26 points per 40 minutes. & we all know that's all that matters, right?

Now, in fairness, some people do think that having a high EFG% is also important, right? Are you one of those people?

Still, I guess it can't be too many who do, huh? I mean, since, you know..., Mathurin's is below 49%.

So, you bet, he's in the conversation about ROY. As is Banchero, who's been absolutely terrible (but, you know, he scores a lot of points, right?).

OTOH, I doubt anyone is talking about Andrew Nembhard as a potential ROY. Even though he's playing way way better than Mathurin. Or Banchero....

Indy seems primed to be the four star general of our tank.

Indiana is having Turner guard Deni, with Smith on Porzingis. Copying the Minnesota strategy of guarding Deni with a center and parking the center in the paint on D.

Nice little run here after getting down 9-0.

I love watching dudes always try to take it at Deni like he's some sieve on defense.

Feel like this may be a moment to get Gafford in with the starters, too.

Making those threes will help with making them pay.

I really wish Kuzma would stop blaming everyone else every time he gets beat.

With that said, when he makes threes like this he looks like a really good player on offense. Honestly at least two of the shots were really bad attempts, but he made them.

Kuzma has four 3PT field goals in 9 minutes.

12/4/2

Might be a career night on the way.

He hasn't been that bad tonight, he missed the wide open three, but not the usual blatant abuse.
