GT #30: Wizards @ LA Clippers 4 PM (NBCSW/980 AM) [12/17/22]

YOUR Washington Bullets are 11-18!

Losers of 10 out of their last 11 including the last 8 straight, the trade machine is getting into high gear around these parts!

The tank continues in LA. First of a back to back with the Clippers is Saturday afternoon at 1 PM local time (4 PM EST). It's been awhile since we've seen the Wizards play an afternoon game which leads me to believe the loss will be secured by whatever their Friday night activities around town will be.

The Clippers are getting better production from Kawhi Leonard and Paul George as they have returned from injury. The Clippers depth has kept their heads above water and Ty Lue continues his amazing adjustments with his deck of cards.

I think this will be a close game and Beal and Zinger might be on the court for this one. Luckily, we can count on Wes Unseld Jr. doing some weird shid with his rotations or the players missing FTs to secure the loss!

In a series of embarrassments over the past season or so, what will the next game bring? We've seen nearly 100 points in the paint. We've seen ridiculous blowouts. We've seen other teams come back from huge deficits.

The next game's embarrassment is anyone's guess. Most turnovers in a game? The other team has zero turnovers against 20 for us? Opponent shoots 50 free throws while we launch up 50 3 pointers? The possibilities are endless and I can't wait to find out!

It was nearly a year ago that the Wizards lost a 38 point lead to the Clippers and got beat on a 4-point play at the buzzer. Could they possibly top that embarrassment? I'm with you, its kind of intriguing. Its about the only reason left to watch...

What type of offense WUJ is running? How can a coach that wants to sell himself as 'worthy' can come up with such a predictable selfish based offensive sets? I can't get it.

Funny. Nuggets fans were complaining about this last night in their collapse vs. LAL. Plus their defense has collapsed.

Wizards up 13 right now. Can't wait to see how WUJ gets us back on tank!

Wasn't part of having Porzingis running the offense out of the high post that he would be a facilitator? Dude forces so many shots when they just aren't necessary and just plainly bad shots.

The offense is the same thing every time down the court. Not even a wrinkle, a fold, just zero imagination.

Letting Kuzma guard Leonard, also not a great idea.

He's completely lost the team. Not only are we are losing, but we are losing in part because his offensive system is a gimmick just like Brooks. Nothing has changed.

How many more games does Beal have scheduled at the spa?

As of this game, he's missed 40% of the season. Those who talk about his efficiency this season have neglected to talk about how he hasn't suited up in almost half of our games, which has likely helped the former. I mean, I'm all for being precautious to keep him healthy for a trade, but we all know this franchise isn't that sly.

I've counted so many bad shots, really guys, just bad shots by our de facto stars. KP, Kuz, even Goodwin got inspired by them. When you always complain about why your young players don't grow and develop, play average and don't make a serious impact on the team, just look in the mirror and see the basketball you're playing. Wake up. You have Kuz and KP playing and forcing the game, the lack of paragon in your offense is very noticeable. So they may catch a night, and be very good, and maybe maybe they can even lead you to a W, but then you can't develop your future, there is only one ball, and you can't ignore the fact that even with them playing, your ceiling is still low. In the best case you make the 1st round and then eliminated. You don't tank for a good pick / develop your youngsters, and you also don't compete at the high level, so like, what's the point? Where's the future? No wonder no one there has a will to do defense. How many more losses does your GM need to get to understand this? Just start the tank and give the keys to the young guys, get rid of all the vets who bring you nowhere.
