Numerous Magic players could be facing suspension for leaving the bench area during an altercation. Franz Wagner, Cole Anthony, Wendell Carter Jr, Gary Harris, Mo Bamba, R.J. Hampton, Terrence Ross and Admiral Schofield were the players out of the game as the Orlando bench emptied.
“I need an explanation about the decision because my understanding is you can’t leave the bench area and escalate a situation,” Pistons coach Dwane Casey said. “That’s when really bad things can happen.”
Franz Wagner said the Magic players didn't feel they had a choice.
“We’re aware of the rule, but things like that usually happen on the court, not on one of the benches,” he said. “Your worry is that your teammate is down there amongst the whole other team.”

They may end up handing out suspensions but I’m sure it will be staggered over a few games.
I’ve been at the center of a similar situation. Got a baseball bat across the jaw when I went into a crowd of about 20-30 people attacking someone under them. At the time I just reacted. No time to think. It was where I had left a class of children with two other adult counselors. All I knew was I had to make sure it wasn’t one of my children at the bottom of that pile.
Stay glued to the bench? Easy to say when it’s not your brother at the bottom of the pile or a child under your care & protection.

Haven’t seen any news. Orlando missing half its roster would be wild.

Wiz coming off a few wins facing a depleted, basically G-League team. Smells like a trap game and probably a loss. Will still throw out my 137-101 Wiz win prediction, but I'd be worried about this game if I were WUJ.

Updated the lineups... since Orlando will only have 8 players. Terrence Ross, a Wizards killer, will surely play big minutes now.
Kinda fitting to have Rui and Admiral SIDE BY SIDE... that's our 2019 draft class ya'll...
Should have took Bol Bol... and now the Magic have BOTH

Based on how they've been playing over the last 5 games they should beat Orlando handily, but I have my doubts. Feels like the MIA game with old Lowry and bench players which we barely escaped by the skin of our teeth with that Kuzma shot.
With that said an L would do wonders for the tank before a back-to-back up in Milwaukee.

No Beal
And the Magic with a short bench
I hope Goodwin gets some PT he’s earned it.
Part of me wants a blow out for the New Year.
It would be fun if Cary Jr, Davis & Dotson could give us a glimpse of what they’ve learned in the G-league.

What are thoughts on Kuzma's bad shots? They make him more of a threat or just bad?

Dream lineup for me with Wright-Kispert-Deni-Rui-Gafford.

I tuned in about 10 minutes ago and nobody has scored a FG since. What a horrible game.

This is what hurts Rui, settling for the jumper too often.

This is a text book example of why +/- can have single game anomalies. Deni has played great, but he is a team worst -13 due to poor play from those he's on court with.

The Wizards have gone 9 minutes with nobody other than Avdija scoring a single point.

Deni is playing excellent, doing everything out there. Orlando's announcers are even saying.

Fultz has been sneaky good tonight, hustling and making heady plays.

Gotta keep going to Porzingis and punish them for not having a center.
