Honestly I know some people are going to say he was totally joking, but I kind of feel like there's some kernels of truth to how Kuzma thinks here, his mentality. Kinda seemed like an unnecessary barb to share with the media. It's one thing if you joke with your teammates, but he couldn't just say, "kid did work on the boards, we needed every last one tonight" instead of saying that they were "uncontested" or that he "only had 9 point." He appeared to soften his tone a bit towards the end of that clip, but being a leader is picking your spots, not trying to say cute things to fawning reporters. Just felt like a patent Beal-like, "I need the attention and to be loved" moment instead of showing a little bit more leadership.
But to player of the game....
Gill played a hell of a ball game, Deni did a lot of good stuff except for a couple more TOs than I'd like to see, Morris was brilliant in the 3rd quarter, Taj was a steadying force throughout, and Goodwin and Wright were feisty in the fourth. And yes Kuzma made the three, kudos to him for making that shot.
I feel like Rui has taken a couple steps back after his string of really good games after coming back. Overdribbling, tunnel vision, forcing shots, and the constant of often looking clueless on where to be or what to do on defense. Him and Barton were on the floor for a long, long time during the Bulls end of first quarter/second quarter run to take a big lead.
I'll give it to Deni for 20 boards, and doing a little bit of everything. Gill a close second for a great game, and getting Drummond in a lot of foul trouble, which was an underrated aspect of this particular game.

I think the reason he poked fun at Deni is because the two of them go hard at each other in practice with them trading barbs on Instagram.
