GT #49: Wizards @ Pelicans 8 PM (NBCSW/980 AM)

YOUR Washington Bullets are 22-26!

After getting down 19 to Houston, the Rockets showed how tanking is done as the Bullets came back to win behind a flurry of buckets from Kuzma and a surprising debut from Kendrick Nunn.

Tonight, they face a Pelicans team that is reeling. They've lost 6 in a row and have only won once since blowing out your Bullets in DC earlier this month.

Despite that, they're still 4th in the West which speaks to the parity or how 'mid' everyone is right now.

Brandon Ingram has returned after a two-month absence due to his toe. Zion is a couple weeks away with a hamstring.

This screams like a ''get right" game for NOLA. I'd expect Jonas V to dominate and a 15 point victory.

Gafford is not a long term solution at starting C.

Beal's confidence is shot and his shot is broken.

Can't get streaming to work tonight, & TV is otherwise occupied -- guess I'll miss this one. :(

Gibson just gave us some good minutes at C. He managed to get Valenciunas ejected, while getting 9 points and 4 rebounds in under 10 mins. A good outing for him in this 2nd quarter. I had said he was giving us next to nothing, but he certainly stepped up in this quarter.

I stand corrected.

Beal having an absolute stinker though.

Beal is being closely guarded by taller players, who are also getting physical. He has gone 3/11. Kuzma has not provided anything for the offense, going 0/4, but has shown up in other ways. Yet, we are still up by 9 at the half! Everyone else is eating, it seems.

Loved the first half from the young guys in Gaff, Deni, and Kispert + Taj. Did work on the offensive boards as well.

Yeah, up by 28 - 18 on rebounding even though Beal, Kuz, Wright and Nunn are a combined 5-22 and have taken almost half the bullets' shots. Weird half.

Love that Kuzma isn't forcing it, he doesn't need to thus far. Beal has played like last year Beal, just trying to do too much. He's optimal when picking his spots.

Greatest hope at this point is Kuzma won't shot jack once he gets his contract. He's so much better when he's not taking stupid shots or recklessly turning the ball over.

Deni, aside from any type of shot attempt outside of 10 feet, is playing great tonight.

This is the Deni we’ve been waiting for. See him visibly pissed off that Nunn didn’t give him the ball there? Then he responds with an aggressive drive an led finish next time he touches it. That’s it Deni be more hungry and selfish out there.
