GT #65: Bullets @ Pistons 7:00 PM 03/07 (NBCSW/980 AM)
The Wizards go on to play the Detroit who they have beaten 6 times in a row. This is a game that was rescheduled due to an ice storm. The Pistons have the longest active losing streak at 8 games.
The Wizards are battling to improve their playoff positioning. As it stands right now they are the 10th seed. Although if the season ended today they would be projected to have the 8th overall pick.
Keys to game
- Can Bradley Beal continue his relative improved 3 point shooting at 37 % or will it be like it was against the Bucks where he shot 0-5 from 3.
- Will Porzingis manage to have more than 10 points in the 2nd half - as he has gotten to several blistering starts but has had trouble maintaining that.
- Will Deni see more minutes than Anthony Gill?
- Will Jordan Goodwin make more than 1 field goal which was his total against the Bucks?
Here are the highlights from the game earlier in the season where after the game the Wizards were 3-1.

This would be a great game to try to play a team brand of ball, to get some of the young guys confidence going for the closing stretch. Good matchup for Gafford and I feel like it's a choice game to get Deni some extra touches to build on things from his last game.

Shameless tanking by the Pistons...Wes shall need to make a concerted effort to lose this one...

Ordinarily, a team like Detroit would be shamelessly tanking. But with the way things have worked out, there's virtually no chance that they can catch the 4th worst team (Charlotte) and worsen their lottery odds. And since all 3 of the bottom 3 teams have the same lottery odds, there isn't much disincentive for Detroit to try and win games.
This game is a bit more dangerous than it should be.

Didn't we lose a game to Miami earlier this season where they had basically none of their rotation players?

We almost lost it, but barely hung on to win in overtime.
We lost the other two when they were missing Butler, but Bam and Herro were playing.

AWFUL start by Beal: zero D, missing shots, lack of focus, joking around.
Man, how much I want this clown gone…

Anybody here (but me -- & I'm sure Doc as well) remember Eugene Omoruyi?

Gotta say I think WUJ has really outdone himself with the Goodwin-Nunn-Beal-Kispert-Gibson lineup. Like WTF is he thinking?

Kuzma with 7 pts, 0 rebs, 0 assists, 0 blocks, 1 steals in the first half. -10 in +/-…very lackluster effort being generous…

No sense of urgency from the starters. The Twin Towers getting torched on defense.

Wright's fifth steal. He should probably have another two that he just couldn't rope in.

I wish Beal and Kuz would learn a thing or two from Delon defensively…

Not Gafford's night so far, he's been out competed all night.

Beyond embarrassing performance tonite against practically a G league squad. Lack of focus, particularly on D.

Deni losing his mind with 3 consecutive fouls…
