Tough call tonight. The mid three all scored well. Giving it to Delon though. Without his scrappy D we struggle to stay in the game.

Agreed, has to be Delon. The others (mediocre 3) showed no effort defensively in an embarrassing performance overall.

It's down to Beal and Delon. Beal's efficient scoring on high volume kept us in a game where we couldn't get any stops at all. Wright was the only guy who wanted to play defense.
I'll give it to Wright because Beal, as the leader of the team, needs to either step up and lead by example with effort on D, or at least yell at the other lazy guys for being lazy. He did his job on the court as an offensive playmaker, but failed in his duty to lead. So, by default, Wright gets POTG.

Wright for obvious reasons.
I think that the 'Three' were fine offensively, it's everything else I didn't like. The defense, the leadership, the hustle, all three of there performances felt void of anything other than putting the ball in the hope, though I'll admit that too is important. I just expect more from the guys that have been given this moniker when we almost got beat by a terrible team in a game we couldn't afford to lose if their goal is to actually make the playoffs.

I just watched the replay, Gafford is verrrrrrry lucky he didn't get called for a push on that offensive board. You saw one of Detroits players saying as much and I can't say it wasn't a possibilty, though you can argue the guy exaggerated the push.

From one angle, it looks like the other guy was kinda grabbing Gafford's arm and Gafford shook him off. Overall, I felt it was the normal type of scrum one sees when battling for a rebound. Those kinds of shoves are permissible when both guys are floor-bound and fighting for position. It wasn't like the other guy jumped in the air and Gafford pushed him in the back.

I went with Beal. Wright has 4 more steals than Beal and 4 fewer turnovers. Beal had 1 more rebound, 1 more assist, as many blocks and 28 more points.
