Zach Lowe had a pretty funny quip in his last podcast. It was in the context of team offensive rating and team defensive rating. He said, "if you rank 26th, you're last". And that's because there are 4 teams that have been blatantly tanking all season. It's no achievement to be ahead of them.
The Wizards rank 25th in losses. They aren't quite last, but they are 2nd-to-last in the thing that matters most, avoiding losses.
What an embarrassment.
Interestingly, they rank 21st in net rating and 19th in schedule adjusted net rating. So they have outplayed their record by a little bit.

We all knew deep down this was how the season was going to go.

What’s really depressing is that they will rattle off a few meaningless wins in April to really mess up our tank. I can’t stand this team. 3-7 in the last 10.

I have a feeling they lose this game.

This would be the best outcome. More ammo to embarrass Turd and his troop of clowns.

Also, it's good to see our twins to the west (Sacramento Kings) are currently sitting 2nd in the WESTERN Conference. This franchise is run by clowns.

Our only peer in the league is Charlotte. Their future looks just as bleak as ours

Wes with a 1-3 starting line up of Morris-Beal-Kispert, probably the worst defensive 1-3 combo in the entire association…
Looks like we are hammering the G-league squad of Detroit but that combo against a caliber playoff team would be utter suicide…

This might be one of the worst teams I've ever seen fielded in an NBA game. Detroit is already the worst team in the league. But tonight they are missing Ivey, Bogdanovic, Burks, Bagley, Diallo, Stewart and, of course, Cunningham.

Deni Avdija is really freakin' fast when he sprints down the court.

Honestly why would anyone go to this game? the only thing blowing harder than these two teams is the wind.

This team's offense even when other guys are playing well is so predictable. Throw it Porzingis so he can be a black hole.

Hope Davis gets regular rotation minutes the rest of the way.

Still think Davis is going to be a really good player. It wasn’t just a string of lucky games in the g-league. His athleticism and confidence were back, and he was the best player on the court by a lot.
Hopefully he gets all of Nunn’s minutes for these last 13 games. He absolutely is rotation caliber right now despite being labeled a bust by 90% of the fanbase.

I tend to agree with you, but the guy is a turtle out there. Hopefully, he improves his footwork over the off season.

I had to miss the first half, but Beal was certainly sensational in the second half.
Nice to see Johnny Davis active on the court. He didn't look out of place. But, let's do keep a sense of perspective.
Did he have as good a game as Jalen Duren, drafted 3 spots later. Nah.
Did he have as good a game as, say, the Pistons' undrafted rookie Buddy Boeheim? No, not really -- but not a big difference.
Did he have as good a game as the Pistons' undrafted rookie Jared Rhoden? No, he didn't.
But, he looked like a guy who has the potential to be a rotation player in the NBA. &, he was certainly better than Killian Hayes overall, who went #7 in 2020.
