Yeah, that seems like the best bet, particularly if the trade is going to take place this Summer. If we wait until December 15th, there may be some other potential suitors like the Lakers and Dallas.

The only wildcard I see would be if a team like Orlando decided to add him in a bid to leapfrog up the standings into being a 5-7 seed kind of team. I have no idea if Beal would agree.

New York could also put a package together.

Yeah after reading through twitter, seems like Beal is in the process of being traded right now.

KP is opting in- unless Beal thinks that not re-signing Kuzma is rebuilding or trading vets like Monte or Wright for picks.

Yeah, the articles themselves don't really say anything we didn't already know. It feels like the news is more that Washington/Beal are making a concerted effort to get that word out there, which makes it feel like trading Beal and rebuilding is the preferred option moving forwards.

Yeah perhaps Beal's camp wants a trade but in a diplomatic way- he doesn't want to burn all bridges if a trade doesn't go through. I guess we'll have to wait up until the draft to see if anything comes to fruition.

Miami has cap reasons to prefer Herro over Beal. Otherwise it'd be a great fit for both teams.

Cap reasons that won't come into play until after next season. Cuz the penalties don't really hit till then. They can bring back Gabe and struss and love and go way into the apron to drop Beal on to a team that almost won a tittle and lost no major rotation pieces.
Beal, hero, martin, jimmy, bam would be one of the better starting 5s in the league. With a bench full of shooters and good defenders. Vet min a PG and some centers and you're golden.
I can see Miami saying **** the cap let's run this back and go for that chip.

I mean he could opt in if they market doesn't see hot for him or a sign and trade could be possible. The fact that he hasn't made that call yet....is interesting.

Can Porzingis be opting-in to be traded also?

I just don’t get why Brad would be requesting a trade due to a roster tear down if Porzinigs is coming back at 36 mill.

It's possible that KP likes it here And when you're a young team you need a good vet and a big contract because there is a salary floor.

Woj and Shams are basically saying he's getting traded, b/c what's the point in this getting out and he comes back? Whether it was Beal's camp or the team that leaked it, they're basically asking teams to offer up and see if they can get something done before the draft.

once KP opts in , theyll be trade proposals .....Ive listened to Locked on Kings .Locked on Pistons , talking about the pros to trading for KP .

Seems like a rebuild is inevitable now that this is all public
