Our defense during the Mavericks game made my eyes bleed. I don't mind losing, but I would like to look like a professional ball club while doing so. Can you guys please figure out how to defend a high screen?

Th article from the Athletic pretty much reinforces what I believe already....Poole is utterly useless. He's the cause of most of the breakdowns defensively in the starting unit, and he provides next to nothing offensively. He should be coming off the bench at best. Realistically, he shouldn't be in the rotation at all.

Funny you say that because I am listening to the Zach Lowe podcast and he dropped a bomb about the Knicks struggles on offense.

They are last in the league 54% finishing at the rim, a full 6% below the next worst team.

So we'll see what happens when an immovable object meets an unstoppable force.

Starters aside from Deni, maybe Gafford, has not interest in playing defense or a team brand of offense.

Wizards have as many defensive rebounds as the Knicks have offensive rebounds (3 each). Gafford has yet to record a defensive rebound although he has one offensive rebound.

Poole in 9 first quarter minutes: 0 points (0-3), 2 TOs, 2 PFs, and 1 AST...

Only way we’re trading Poole’s contract is if we’re attaching assets which isn’t happening at the start of a rebuild. Looks like we’re stuck with him for the foreseeable future.
