I saw someone call him Shaqtin a Poole on Twitter.

I don’t really get it. Yes he’s always kind of sucked but his scoring efficiency has taken a dive after being consistently solid for three years. I keep waiting for that part of his game to creep up to career norms but so far no dice

And I do understand that going up against a teams best defender is different than scoring off the bench but the reality is Poole isn’t scoring against anybody and most teams don’t really play hard defense this early in the season

It's insane how much this guy gets blocked.

A guarantee if you watch Poo:

- his shot getting blocked at least once
- a lazy jump pass that ends up in a turnover
- a three pointer from at least 5 feet behind the line that has no chance of going in
- a wild one handed desperation floater that ends up with him on the floor
- him on the floor for no apparent reason at all
- him begging the refs for a call
- him flexing or doing an unnecessary celebration in the second quarter

That play where he tried to swag then got rejected hard af (clip above me) is absolute max cringe stuff. Quite possibly the worst basketball play I've seen in a while.

Wow, how did this happen to us? I understand completely now why GSW couldn’t wait to unload this guy.

Jordan Poole is the final embarrassment we must face before turning the franchise around. Its the completion of a 50 year ritual (or at least that's what I'm going with).

Posted this on Deni’s thread where Nate made a great point about how playing alongside Poole is depressing Avdija’s on/off numbers:

“What a disastrous performance by Poole this season. A ORtg of 94 and DRrg of 122 has to be historically awful for a player earning his share of the team’s cap.”

I mean, is there another max contract guy out there who has posted such an aberration in recent memory?

Anyone remember the offseason when people were wondering if Poole would get 25-30 points a game? Ah, the offseason, when reality takes a break.

Now we are hoping he can some day turn into Collin Sexton.

I thought this was a terrible trade, didn't care much for Poole, but got swept up in the hype about who could be as a leading guy.

He's had a disastrous start to the season and he may have been pressing a bit to star the year, but I think he's come around lately and is getting more of a feel for how to play as a leading man.

Poole is just one of those guys people love to hate.

Some of it may be warranted with some of the aloof play, but a lot of the hatred seems way over the top to me.

It's true that his offense has been better of late, but he is still a total disaster on defense. He is one of the worst defenders I've ever seen. He doesn't even try. The next screen he fights through will be his first.

It's impossible for him to ever make up on offense what he gives up on defense.

the hate isn't over the top...all of it is merited. Until he plays with max effort, he will get the hate. playing like a bonehead is somewhat accetpable (Gafford) but the lack of effort is totally unforgiveable.

After 20 games, Jordan Poole is worst in the league in on/off differential by a country mile (if you ignore two Denver Nugget low-minute garbage-time players who have the misfortune of only being "on" only when Jokic is "off")



It's really hard to describe how bad he has been.
