GT #37: Wiz at Indy 1/10/2024

Post#1 » by nate33 » Thu Jan 11, 2024 12:44 am

Indy looks terrible without Haliburton.

The Wizards are missing a million shots so far, so the score is 30-30, but I like the Wizards chances in this one if things don't change.

Muscala is so much better than Gallo on defense.

Wizards players not named Corey Kispert have shot 9-30 from the floor and 1-11 from 3-point range.

I'll take Deni's 8 points on 3 shots.

Man, Poole with the soft -sometime dirty- fouls all game long. Is there anything this guys does good on the court aside from a hot shooting night here and there?

Just turned on the game and.....ugh.... Consor. I typically don't make a big deal about announcers but this guy is really annoying.

Yeah, Kuzma was playing like trash and Deni was playing great, yet he sat Deni near the end of the first half. I get why he left Kispert on the floor, but Kispert shouldn't have replaced Deni, he should have replaced Kuzma.

Deni does have 3 fouls. That might be why he came out.

Deni will not shoot with his left hand. He is getting to the rim with his left at will, but always stops, pump fakes, and loses the advantage.

Poole and Kuzma take so many threes they have no business taking.

I just saw the play you are talking about. That was pretty embarrassing.

There's no universe where Kispert should already have 10 more minutes than Deni.

No matter how this game ends, this flagrant foul on BC and subsequent trash talks shows how the Wiz can't command opponents respect. The Pacers on a missing roster are plain bullying and enjoying every second of it..
Cant see that atitude vs Nuggets or any other team that actually have respect for themselves..

Call me paranoid but team chem is quite low..
After the wistle you could see deni reaching for kuz as courtesy high five and kuz was moving his hand away and walked off to hug around pacers players..
Nice leadership gameplay througout today..kuz looks broken

T.J. McConnell came in and settled them down and played well. Nwora also took advantage of some PT and contributed.

As far as our guys, I’m done with Kuzma, we can lose without him and will be harder to trade due to CBA after this year so time to move him. Delon trade value going down, he looks slow.

Deni needs to keep his right hand in his pocket all the time when off the court. Brush his teeth, write, eat, go to the bathroom, everything with his left. Then in offseason don’t use his right at all in workouts. Worth a shot. Al Jefferson had no left and he made all NBA one year, but Deni needs a left.

I am not that worried about Deni finishing with his left. If he can give us 13-15 ppg efficiently that is enough. A guy like that doesnt have to have a full arsenal on offense.

He could just spin into a right hand jump hook, or just go into a post up bully ball move, whatever. Just something other than drive left and panic stop

Just got done watching the game. Poole actually looked like a viable player. He had some nice plays scoring and playmaking with only 1 turnover.

Obviously some of that is Indy's defense but not all of it.
