Love the pick. Thanks for making our game pick a no brainer, Atlanta.

To the FO's credit, they still could've **** it up by picking Clingan instead but didn't.

Nobody cares. That's why there's been like 5 post. People on this board are looking for new teams because we are an ineptly run franchise.

Re: Alex Sarr
I was so disappointed by the Deni trade that I didn't even know the draft was taking place.
This Sarr pick is anticlimactic.

Speak for yourself. I think a lot of us are glued to the tv because we have 3 1st rd picks. There's a lot to be excited about.

You can tell the killers: Clingan and Castle (whom I wanted). Sarr doesn’t appear to me to be the type of leader we need to help drag us out of hell. He seems like a guy who will want a bigger role than he should have, and that certainly won’t help us build out of a tank. Love French players though. So, who knows. But, Deni for Bub… ugh… all the steals went early. And that’s why you don’t do the trade until you’re on the clock. Jesus.

He's just a guy. No star power, that's for sure.

Re: Alex Sarr
looking for a silver lining...
Sarr and BC will be the defensive nucleus to get us loose ball transition buckets.
When they struggle with that, we can always have KuzPoole just jack from the logo.

Re: Alex Sarr
I’m excited to have Sarr! He covers a lot of ground and will improve our defense right away. I hope he develops a dribble drive game, will need the threat of a shot to get there. It’s going to be fun to watch him develop
Making extreme statements like "only" sounds like there are "no" Jokics in this draft? Jokic is an engine that was drafted in the 2nd round. Always a chance to see diamond dropped by sloppy burgular after a theft.

Any player that wants to be the 2nd pick and not #1 says alot about that player. How Sarr approaches basketball reminds me of Cauley Stein.. I think there were much better fits.

Well I am pumped about Sarr! Highest potential in the draft, and the kind of potential you don't get outside of the top of the lottery.

Not sure if he's ever going to be great on offense, but if he ends up like Evan Mobley, that's a nice piece to have.

Here here-
I was ride or die - but eventually the wiz put a bullet in me with all their ineptitude-
The wall, Westbrook, Beal, Rui, gaf, Wes and now Deni crap is just too much - a 40 year rebuild is insane

Re: Alex Sarr
I was interested in Sheppard but it seems like most observers agree that Sarr
was the better choice. I remember somone posting a vid a couple months ago
showing him defending a G on the perimeter with the use of elite level footwork.
That's encouraging. His lack of an offensive game is a concern but he is only
19 and may develop enough of one. The athletic skill on defense is less of
a thing that can be developed over time. He's got that. Of course he's
a skinny kid who is likely to get stronger in the coming years. I'm okay with
the pick especially with the number of people who felt he was best player in
the draft, even if it was a remarkably weak year. ATL may have done us a major
solid with their choice.
Kev on Sarr
Just one guy's opinion of course.

I think he’s likely to the best player from the 2024 draft.

Re: Alex Sarr
Sarr has the highest potential of anyone the Wizards have drafted in my lifetime. It'll be interesting to see how we bring him along.
