Post#1 » by FAH1223 » Tue Jan 21, 2025 10:56 pm

YOUR Washington Bullets are 6-35!!

More Ls!

Bullets are in LA this week. First up, the Lakers coached by JJ Redick. LeBron and AD still lead the crew. Reaves has been balling. The young Christie kid has been a starter.

Pelinka made a trade with the Nets to get Finney-Smith and Milton there. How will they fare? Probably well tonight!

I get the rare opportunity to watch.

I don't stream games and I don't have League Pass. This game is being televised on Spectrum Sportsnet.

Reeves is coming of scoring 38 points and is averaging 21 points his last 10.
Bye bye Beal.

They're shooting horribly from 3PT.

They were 1-9 on wide open shots. Now 2-11.

They stopped playing good defense. LAL is dunking everything.
Bye bye Beal.

I'm sure I'm the only one watching.

Washington had got to within 35-38, but in the blink of a Kuzma forced 3-point hero shot, the Lakers are back up 45-35.
Bye bye Beal.

Sarr is terrible at finishing. He's weak and tentative. I hate his offense near the basket.

Carrington is terrible at exploding at the rim.

George has a weak base. He can be backed down easily. OTOH, he's quick as a cat playing passing lanes.
Bye bye Beal.

We trail 49-59 at half.

I am not at all impressed with what I saw from Bub Carrington.

He's not a real good distributor. He doesn't break down guys and score. He's not a stopper on defense, I hope this is just a bad start I the first half,
Bye bye Beal.

The obvious difference this game is that they have James and Davis. It's actually boring to watch. They're dunking and finishing Al out everything.

Sarr is having a block party, with 4 in the first half.
Bye bye Beal.

One encouraging sight is seeing Kyshawn bringing the ball upcourt.. Kyshawn and Bilal Coulibaly make a formidable backcourt duo.
Bye bye Beal.

George had it going at the end of the fourth.

Kuzma decided to force things to start the fourth. He dominated the ball and had two turnovers. I wish he'd go out injured again.

I miss Champagnie.
Bye bye Beal.

The score is 88-105.

Jordan Poole has shown his whole ass the last several times down court.

Keefe needs to play Jared Butler.

I hate Poole and Kuzma on this team.
Bye bye Beal.

This team is so boring to watch. Slow, unathletic, soft, and sloppy with the basketball. There is no one on this team worth turning the game on to see. At one point, it was Bilal, but he's not that guy. The young players on this team....yawn.

I remember someone posting that this season was the most excited he has been in years to watch a Wizards team. Holy ****.

Uneven game for Sarr. Looked okay in some areas like blocks but was not effective
slowing down AD which is admittedly a tough job to say the least.

George is playing much better lately. Bilal has a couple nice plays but all our kids
are very uneven in their play when they are not just overmatched. They're kids
playing against the best grown@ss men in the world. This should not be a surprise.
We just have to hope they'll be a lot better in 2-3 years. And we get a serious
difference maker in this year's draft and a rotation player next year too.

Its more about hope for the future than the actual product on the court. We are the worst team in the league by a mile and I'm actually wondering whether we will win ten games... all I'm looking for is flashes. And honestly, I see plenty of those: from Alex, Bilal, and Kyshawn especially. Lots of nice plays, blocks, and effort sprinkled in with the expected terrible overall play. If you squint you can imagine the ratio of good to bad shifting for these guys from 20-80 to 80-20, and that would be a lot of fun. However, I do worry about Bub. Not worry really, just that I feel less excitement for his skillset. But he isn't even 20 so you know, a lot can change...

I saw the same. Flashes from Kyshawn, Bilal, and Alex.

Bub doesn't impress me at all.
Bye bye Beal.

Anyone know why Jared Butler wasn't listed on the roster on NBA.com? Not even as a Coach-DNP like Holmes. Has he finished his NBA run as a two-way or what?

Since he's a two-way player, he can be active for just nine more games before we would have to upgrade him to a standard contract.
