Wanted a first but happy to have Kuzma gone. Absolute clown. Our youngsters can learn from a bonafide pro and champ like Khris now. For how long? I do not know.

According to Chris Haynes, it's a 2028 pick swap. Feels like Dawkins/Winger are banking that the Bucks will be bad in 2028.

Yes!!!!!!!! Out of freaking Kyle FAT Kuzma finally. Good riddance!!!!

Two bets of the FO: the 2028 pick swap and AJ Johnson. AJ is very athletic but his three is shaky...

The Bucks board doesnt seem too happy that they included AJ Johnson. I'm very happy that Kuzma is gone and we may get some young talent out of this.

I am assuming Middleton will be dealt within the next 24 hours?

I’m not thrilled about the return, just happy I don’t have to watch Kuz anymore. Losing by 30 will be a slightly better viewing experience now

Johnson is a 2024 first round pick. This is why the Bucks are in the position they're in, they're not hitting on the draft picks that could supplement the expensive/aging roster.

Any info on AJ Johnson?

He's incredibly raw and particularly for the Bucks timeline, is not ready for NBA minutes. That obviously works more for you guys than it did us. He's got some movement skills to him that are pretty rare to find though; if you squint hard enough he looks like Tyrese Maxey at times. But again, very, very raw right now. He's had some big games in the G-League but overall has only been okay at that level of competition so far. Bucks fans are extremely upset with this trade and particularly because of the inclusion of AJ. He's the first young guy we've had in a long time that looks like a great athlete.

Getting AJ Johnson is getting a FRP. Only in this case a FRP who has some PT (and has flashed) and is therefore a safer bet than an ordinary late FRP.

23rd pick in the draft last year. Dawkins must have liked him.

6-5 with handles, burst, athleticism. No 3, it’s true. But that’s why he went 23. Can he work on it? In theory. Lots of guys never develop a shot. Some do.

It’s worth a throw of the dice, I think.

We have 4 FRPs from the 2024 draft. The “bad 2024 draft.

FYI, Bucks already traded that swap to Portland in the Dame deal. So you'll be getting the 2nd best pick of the Milwaukee-Portland-Washington trio.

This. He is very similar to Bub.
6’5 combo guard with lead/PG potential.
Late growth spurt and still filling out his frame. Love it.

We won’t get that pick swap. This was about getting a better player (Middleton) and asset (AJ) for the 30+M in luxury tax savings for the Bucks.
Hopefully this is part of a bigger deal to move Middleton to a 3rd team.
Make no mistake, Middleton is basically a Beal caliber player right now, which is valuable on his contract.

Pick swap...is all that matters in a deal like this. Oh and getting rid of Kuzma's bum ass. That's a win.

I actually love this. Khris is an amazing vet and was still extremely efficient last year. I do wonder if he'll pressure us for a buyout though given where he's at in his career.

So how does that work?

If in 2028, if we pick 3rd, Bucks pick 5th, and Portland picks 6th...then what?
