Another French player and who knew we needed even more second round picks. I think it may give us a little more room to take on salary in another deal also.

'23 draft pick in round 2, sounded like he was a guy projected to go in that 25-50 zone, and went 44th, athletic Forward...? No idea if he's anything other than whatev's but was reasonably well thought of at the time.

Sidy is a very intuitive and smart and physical defender. Tree trunk legs. Big wing span. Deft passer. Has tended to defer on O. O game needs development. Good driver and above rim finisher. Solid in the locker room. Needs playing time.

Treat him well and enjoy, Wiz fans! You got a good young prospect.

In 8 g league games he's averaging 18 points. On 51 % shooting he's shooting about 30 percent form 3 on low volume. 66 ft percentage and 3 rebounds a game. He's apparently an active and athletic defender. Basically an athletic less 3 pt centric replacement for Baldwin.

They had 6 available to trade in closing Chicago in 2025 and Denver protected 31-33 in 28. Id assume it's this but idk 4 of their own I think. 26-29

Ideal use of money on him over the summer. Would have loved a first, but getting a borderline first round level prospect in '23, and 2 future 2nd's for essentially nothing but a contract we didn't care about is fantastic asset management.

Good work, may amount to nothing but potential upside on our timeline.

The Kuzma trade was Tommy like in that was just cleaning up a mess of their own doing.

we're definitely doing a poor man's OKC rebuild here and i'm not mad about it. if we can pull off a poor man's PG trade with Poole? well then... sheesh.

i'm thinking something along the lines of Poole for Avdija + picks?

Spent one 2nd round pick for Jonas on a S&T and ended up with 2 plus a(nother, raw athletic, French speaking) young player.

Not bad for a half year salary of a solid low post role model.

That's what I felt. This is what I want. We suck, take on some salary and just flip guys, it may turn out to be a bunch of worthless penny stocks, but the more late first and second rounder darts we throw the better chance we hit on one of them.

So we got the DEN 2028 2nd and the SAC 2029 2nd, along with Cissko and a 9.9M TPE.
I’m not sure we can use the TPE with is having 30M+ in cap space after signing our draft pick(s)

We will either hold on to Middleton or pull a Houston and resign a very one a short over paid deal for cap reasons to use in a trade later. Let's say we sign Brogdon to a 60 mill 2 year deal with a team option not guarantee in year 2 30 a year and we still have midleton on 30 plus. We can be valuable in helping a team ahead salary. That also allows us to use our exceptions and maximize value.

Cissoko has been on the San Antonio roster since he was drafted by them in '23. To my knowledge he has never played a minute for Sac'to, & I have zero idea how he wound up in their possession.

Wait... yes I do -- he came in the Fox trade yesterday....

This is the clearest example of solid management by winger/Dawkins. Just solid use of cap space for a player who helped and then turned into assets (not great ones, but something).

Agreed. The strategy isn't particularly insightful. What made it a solid, competent move was them recognizing that JV was an undervalued asset in free agency and then signing him to a team friendly contract.

He went in the '23 draft. A couple of people here were quite high on him -- Nat4 comes to mind (where are you, Nat4?????).

San Antonio drafted him in R2.
