GT #62: WIZ @RAPTORS 7:30 pm 3/8/2025

The young rookies filled the stat sheet in their win over the Jazz. Hopefully BCoul joins the fun versus the Raptors & AJ gets some play time too.

This is the first of two games in Toronto. Wizards could but should not win either of them. Toronto has won 3 of their last five games. Wizards need losses to stay behind the Jazz who have lost 4 of their past 5 games. It’s time to get serious about tanking.

Agree they need to go on a 10 game losing streak starting tonight.

Toronto with 9 players on their injury report. And they played yesterday.

Brandon Ingram Out Ankle
Gradey Dick Out Knee
Ulrich Chomche Out For Season Knee
Scottie Barnes Questionable Hand
Jonathan Mogbo Out Face
Chris Boucher Questionable Mouth
Ochai Agbaji Out Ankle
Immanuel Quickley Out Rest
Ja’Kobe Walter Out Quadricep

This maybe a hard game to lose…

Nah...

We put them on the line 15 times in the first quarter, if you can believe that!

Missing high quality shots is really bad though.

I didn't see the game but the ending must have been tanktastic.

Credit deserved for 14 boards though. It’s a start.

Hate to say that I was rooting for the win. I like this team, especially George and Bilal. With Holmes, Smart, Brogdon and Middleton, we finally have vets that are truly good mentors and examples. Problem is, this team is going to win its share of games down the stretch.

Yes…with the addition of Smart and Middleton there’s definitely a different, more professional vibe about the team.

And as much grief as we give Poole for some of his shot selection and decision making, he is widely recognized as a hard worker and gym rat. That a good example for our youngins.

Poole with Smart on the court is way better. Like when he was at GS. The adults in the room kept him in line.

I've never seen such an unethical tank. Barrett was cooking. 23 & 9, and got mysteriously benched to allow the subs to lose a close game.
Always remember, my friend: the world will change again. And you may have to come back through everywhere you've been.

Pretty, pretty good. Wiz are the only franchise that sucks at losing at the right time

GMs can tank by trading vets for unproven youngsters with upside and/or picks. But coaches shouldn't tank anymore than players should.

The Raptors might as well have dropped kick the ball into the stands every other possession. Just start shooting at the Wizards' basket.

I know it was counter productive, but I always like seeing Drake's team lose.

Especially, after they thought they had the game winner.... I enjoyed seeing the fans in disbelief. I am a bad person.
