Didn't know where else to put this
another NBA person, more famous as a broadcaster perhaps than a player, Stacy King has passed.
RIP

A lot of what we call 'thought' is just mental activity

God: "What did you contribute to make the world better?"
King: "See exhibit A."
God: "Please take a seat at my right hand for eternity!"
RIP to a literal King!

Re: in memorium
My favorite Stacy King memory: in one of the NBA playoffs, Danny Ferry committed a hard foul on MJ and was removed from the game (I guess a flagrant 2 but can't remember), and in a later game (maybe next game, again, can't recall) King hit Ferry with a retaliatory and brutal "Nobody ****s with our star" flagrant 2, presented himself to the cops, and was escorted off the court. Like he wrote his own script.

Re: in memorium
Monte Stacey had a story about touching his MJ poster, when he was at OU, and it bringing him good luck....
So he gets drafted by the Bulls, and decided to try this with the real Jordan....
Mike checked the **** out of him, and told him, chill you got the real thing....
I liked OU back then so I liked Stacey as part of that.....
RIP Big Man......
Sad to see ya go......

Danny Ferry used to hang out at the old New Carrollton Mall.
I remember vividly. I was working at Bradlee's in the electronics department. .
One particular day, Ferry was walking around, obviously happy, smiling, very tall, in his DeMatha letterman jacket and with his girl. USA Today had him rated the nation's #1 recrtuit.
Who did he think he was?
I hated DeMatha back then. They got all the calls.
***Seriously, I liked Bob Ferry. I wrote him a letter when he was GM. I much would have preferred Danny Ferry over Ernie.***
Stacy King, R.I.P.
King would have LOVED calling Caleb and Matas Buzelis games.
