Not that significant.

He wants to be number 1.

And he is on record saying he really likes how Dawkins, Winger, etc have been focused on getting to know him as a human rather than as a player.

Actually I don't think it means much. DP is the one refusing to work out for other teams. So what? He is confident he isn't going to slip very far and doesn't have any questions he needs to answer. Good for him. Still doesn't mean that Winger/Dawkins have made up their mind. They have worked out other guys.
