DS had 4 steals and made Ray Allen hurt the Celtics. DeShawn's most responsible for the tone of the game; him and Haywood.

Also, Stevenson kept the Wizards in the game early, hitting a lot of big threes.

Caron will win, but I voted Stevenson.

Agree 100%. I'm going with Stevenson as well. Caron closed it at the end but he wouldn't have had the chance if DeShawn hadn't carried the team on both ends of the floor for the first 46 minutes.

i was busy tonight and only caught the last 20 seconds after it was 84-83. and from that little time, it seemed to be haywood. he got a hand up on KG's shot and got out on Allens shot making both of them incredibly hard shots.

also i credit EJ (odly enough) for having Jamison face-guard pierce on the last play.

Word! I gave you (and fishercob's baby Zoe) props in the random thoughts thread. The Z effect is undeniable. The Lakers 33 game win streak is in serious jeopardy.

As for this thread CB3 for POTG.

Sign of a strong team that sweet Jamison gets 20 & 10 and no votes?

AJ got plenty of votes. Everyone who voted other cast a vote for AJ and everyone else that played.

And [echoing others] can we get up an email jihad to crush Bill Simmons. a couple hundred messages wondering if the two nutpunch games to the celtics were included in the 26 wins we were supposed to get this season?

The hack.

Kind of like C's fans coming in and telling us a sarcastic "good game" after they thought they had the game in the bag before the game was even over.

LOL, I remember when they first posted that, and I was about to respond, saying stfu but thought the run the Wizards were on did all the talking. Hilarious, though.

Lyrical, I respect your knowledge right near the top of others on this board.

Stevenson hit 4 threes against Boston (and at one point in previous 2 games against the Cs the TEAM was 2-34), had 4 steals, and held Allen to 5-14 shooting this game and under 40% both games.

He even hit the 3 to tie the game at 79.

Caron made the big plays but you and I agree Stevenson was the POTG. I'm shocked he got only 6% of the votes.
Bye bye Beal.

Tough Juice was so clutch. I was screaming in my house on his last two layup drives. I was yelling so loud my dogs started barking.

Caron Butler. The guy is a warrior. Those are two of the best games I have ever watched.
I would post more if I could remember my password.

Congratulations on the win. Honestly, not knowing a whole lot about the Wiz when Arenas went down, I just assumed you guys would fall to the back of the pack. But your team seems more committed to defense, and Caron Butler has become and absolute star. He reminds me a lot of Paul Pierce. With a veteran point guard in Daniels and a good inside, outside game, the Wizards should be able to do some damage in the playoffs.

I wrote this in the game thread, but want to repeat it.

DeShawn is our Bruce Bowen. Except DeShawn is nastier, got a more militant 'tude, and hangs with bikini models.

He'll have to bring it every night or risk embarassment....if not Ray Allen/PP; then it'll be Wade or Gerald Wallace or well any opponents best perimeter player.

And, just like Bowen, you nowadays dare not leave him alone behind teh arc or he'll bury it.

DeShawn is God.

Who the F is JCN anyway?

I really like the fire DS is playing with right now. He just looks mean out there, and all up in peoples faces on D. I was for the signing before, now im really liking it.

Butler took over the game like a true all-star and won it down the stretch. I can't believe some of you guys thought Deng was as good as Butler.

Haywood also came up big in this game as well as Stevenson. I'm so proud of this team, when they play defense they can beat any team in the league.

Gil has a new blog up, and this quote is hilarious.
Caron took the challenge, man. He took the challenge. He had that memory of Paul Pierce which was the fire and extra motivation he needed. You can see how he used it yesterday. I guess Paul Pierce was quoted in the paper last year after Caron made the All-Star game and he said,

^ Did Pierce really say that? I would be shocked if he did, he's not one for trash talking outside of games like that.

Just came by because I forgot to go to your board when the games happened because I was too involved with my own! LoL.

Love Caron, love Daniels. I hope when Gilbert comes back, you guys bring him off your bench till he regains his athletism that he would have lost from surgery. He should be playing with the pre-surgery lift for a little while till he learns to adapt to his new body and I think the off the bench will keep him from affecting your chemistry.

I look foward to you guys taken ORL's spot as divison leaders.

You and CLE I think are two darkhorses for the ECF.
