maybe the vets should get a half-day @ the office today. fatigue could lead to injuries. the youngin's and the bench should be able to pull off this one.

2 factors will make this a tough game. One is he fact that we'll be dead tired. The other is that we're facing the Knicks and, after facing a great team like the Celtics twice, we'll probably come in expecting a win.

Two of the same factors that caused Detroit to lose embarrassingly to New York.

Would be something if they could sweep the 4 in 5 nights.

Hard to gauge how fired up the guys will be considering how much they've been through the last couple days. The Knicks have a terrible record and no chemistry, but they do have several talented players that are capable of having a huge night. I'm hoping we can break the game open early to get some rest for the vets, but, as the Celtics are learning, it is important to never underestimate an opponent.

On the negative, we have the fatigue issue. On the postive, we have Haywood who totally owns Curry.

It'll be interesting to see how EJ handles New York's big men. Haywood can shut down one of them all by himself, but the other guy is likely to have a field day against Jamison. Jamison has picked up his defensive intensity this year, but there's little he can do against good post up players who are so much bigger and stronger than him. He is going to need double-team help. Maybe we'll just go zone so that Haywood can guard whomever is setting up on the low block.

This would be a good game to run Haywood and Blatche together for stretches.

By the way, a quick glance at the box score shows that the NY/Det game was probably just a fluke. Detroit's spot up shooters: Hamilton, Prince and Herrmann, Hayes and Afflalo, shot 3-34 from the field. Prince alone was 0-10.

NY may have played inspired D, but with the way Detroit moves the ball, I'm sure alot of those misses were off open looks.

I wanna play the Celtics again.;-)
Seriously though...I hope our team took the Celtics win as just another game (kind of like what Tough Juice said in his post game interview), because I, and I am guessing, most fans are still on a high from the Celtics win. Hopefully we arent too tired after the effort we put in the last few games. Wiz win 98-76.

Reminder:

If tonight's game is on CSN+. If you're watching on DirecTV, it's Channel 659.

BTW - various vegas lines list the Wizards as 2.5 point faves for tonight's game. Danny Sheridan shows the same odds.

This game is up to the bench. Dsong, Opec, Young, and Dmac played the fewest minutes last night so they should get plenty of playing time tonight. If they step up we win, if not we probably lose.

Yeah, maybe Pecherov will play a little.

The way I see it this game is a must win. Not so much because there is a sense of urgency to win, but simply because the hard fought road win against the Celtics doesn't mean jack when we can't take advantage of a terrible Knicks team.

It'll be interesting to see how the team comes out today. Will they be focused and ready to take names, or complacent and ready to drop one against Isiah's clowns.

Actually it is a must win, we have a chance to go 6 games over .500 before the Dallas game.
