Does Pecherov Suck?

I want to like Pech, but what is/are his strengths really? He has been shooting a horrible %, doesn't appear to be a good rebounder, so what's the deal?
I keep looking for glimpses of something but.......needs more time??

I think that question should be asked about all of the rookies. Also, talking about a sweet J, you see what Dmac threw up? Good stuff, huh?

D_Mac wasn't drafted for his offense was he? He has shown quite well on defense which is why we drafted him.

No but I think the expectations had gotten a little out of hand since his first few games or so.
I don't think he's necessarily starter material but he can create a nice niche for himself as a pick & pop forward with excellent range.
Basically I see a better version of Songalia. I know people like his tenacity on the boards but I don't see him ever being more than an average rebounder. He tries hard but he's got some limitations due to lack of foot speed & body type.

Precisely. A 7-foot Songaila helps a team a lot more than a 6-9 one.

He isn't even offering that, hopefully some-day.

Ha, you think Songaila is offering something positive?

Pecherov's played a grand total (not counting tonight) of 71 minutes in the NBA. I think it might be a little soon to give up on the guy.

Has he? Haven't seen him that much living in Heat land with no NBA channel but when I have, he has looked lost out there . . . . not the same player that fans were raving about in summer league.

This board has grown way too civilized, pensive almost.Back in the day, if you thought someone sucked you brought the heat with an "Amazingly Sucky" thread. These threads have a proven track record of efficacy. One such thread played a significant role in our 2005 playoff run by motivating its subjecy (Juan Dixon) to raise his game, if only for one game.

Dmac has only looked decent in the last two games. Other than that his defense sucked donkey nuggets but it looks he is finally starting to "get it."

He's a rookie, he just needs more PT. He'll get better.

He's got to do a lot more than take rushed 25 footers.
