If darius doesn't play more than 7 minutes we should win.

Andray needs to have a big game and Haywood needs to shut down boozer.

97-90 Wiz (w/out Caron)

Looks like Butler will not play. Without him Utah will handle us with ease.

Why is it that all Wizards injuries have to go on for longer than expected? I mean, can't the friggin press just say "Butler expected to be out a week" and if he comes back sooner, it's Oh Happy Day?

This whole get-your-spirits-up, then let down attitude is getting annoying.

There was an article some time ago that EG always likes to put the best case time frame scenario for injuries. I think it's a poor practice because in longer term injuries, one wonders if the player is rehabbing diligently or if the training staff doesn't know what they're doing (a reasonable supposition with the history of the Boulez/Wizards).

Ya, it's official. No CB tonight.

Wiz and Jazz, Butler out

Forward Caron Butler just told me that he's out for tonight's game. He's had that strained left hip flexor since the Milwaukee game and also has been bothered by a bad bout of the stomach flu for several days.

"I'm just going to get some more treatment and try to get my body right," Butler said.

Eddie Jordan has addressed the media yet but my guess would be that Andray Blatche will get the start.

Utah (28-18 ) starters: PG Deron Williams, SG Ronnie Brewer, F Andrei Kirilenko, F Carlos Boozer and C Mehmet Okur. It's going to be interesting to see how the Wiz defend that pick-and-roll. Okur can step out and shoot it and Kirilenko has been shooting it much better from outside as well.

We are going to die unless Jamison bails us out again, like he did against Toronto on Tuesday night.

A slaughter is in-store for us tonight, I only hope that we fight hard and make it a respectable game.

Well the ESPN NBA analysts give us no chance. I agree. This one is going to be ugly. Utah is playing the best basketball in the league right now.
