Small correction is the reserve Billy Thomas played in the NBA. He had a short run here in Washington. He seemed like a good guy.

Billy Thomas returns a la Ruffin and Storey to haunt the Wiz!?!?

No, Wiz win. Sextuple-double for Blatche (points, rebounds, assists, blocks, steals, dunks).

son of a **** bitch. Caron is out and AD is possibly out too. I just hate watching this team without CB. If we can't beat the Knicks at home then no way in hell we beat Cleveland on the road. I believe last time we played in Cleveland we lost by 40 and that was with CB.

Cavs 103 Washington 91

Caron Butler did not participate in shootaround this morning but did some shooting. Yesterday, Coach Eddie Jordan said the all-star forward would "probably" miss his seventh straight game with that strained left hip flexor. Jordan said that he'd like see Butler go through a full practice and then determine his status after seeing how the hip responds after that practice. Remember, Caron practiced Monday but woke up stiff and sore Tuesday morning and couldn't go against the Knicks.

It's hard to tell when the Wiz will have a full practice because Jordan typically gives them a day off after a back-to-back (they host Charlotte tomorrow night) and they have games at New Orleans Monday night and Houston Tuesday night. The first real practice could be Thursday in Chicago. I imagine that Caron could get on the court and test himself Sunday and then see what's up for Monday's game but we'll see.

Antonio Daniels (sore right ankle) did participate in shootaround and will be a "game-time" decision. My status is just as iffy. Flights are all messed up and I'm hoping to get out of DC in time but it's up in the air. What's weird is that it's not even that nasty out. In Minnesota, we call this spring.

Sigh.. Sounds like Caron is still a ways away from coming back. :banghead:

At least he's not forcing himself to come back (something that hasn't exactly been working here in D.C).

But it's amazing how a small injury like this is lasting so long. I figured that holding him out 5+ games before All-Star Break, then holding him out of the All-Star game, then holding him out of the Knicks game would at least make him nearly 100% going into tonight.

My guess is that the Wiz doctors are giving Caron pills without reading the label.

So, the Cavs have 8 players for tonight....hmm.

It's going to be the Lebron show tonight, he may look to score 83.

2 of those 8 are fresh signees from the D-League and have never played for the Cavs. It would be utterly demoralizing if we lost this game tonight. We HAVE to get up early in this one.

Agreed, we should win this one, but James and Z may kill us!

We will have no way of stopping Lebron. Stevenson is hurting, and hasn't been able to defend like he usually does, and we won't have butler.

The key should just be let Lebron do what he wants and shut everone else down, although that may net him 83.

We could win 100 to 83, im just saying.

Be sure Haywood plays every minute that Z does. Have McGuire, Stevenson, and Blatche rotate on Lebron. Mostly McGuire though. Just faceguard him.

I don't know if it would be demoralizing. They still have their two best players.

We're missing our two best players, our 5th and 6th best players are playing hurt, and our 8th best player is out with a heart condition. We are playing just 5 healthy non-rookies: Jamison, Haywood, Blatche, Mason and DSong.

The kid has mad talent. He just needs to get max minutes so he can play his way to being as awesome as he can be.

He needs the green light to mess up because when he is confident and flowing, he shows what he can do. He need experience and shots.
