Props to my school American University for winning the Patriot League.

Smallest back court in the league but they have a lot of heart. In the area, both American and Patriot league #2 Navy have a great chance to get in the NCAA tournament, and if we don't lose to Holy Cross on Wednesday (always a tough game) it could happen.

I hear UMBC and Loyola also have great teams, so who knows we could see more than a couple teams from the area get in the NCAA tournament.

I've been meaning to get to a game this year. Props to Tenleytown!

I am a Mount Saint Mary's Alumni, and we suck balls. So I root for Georgetown (where I originally wanted to go) and Maryland, where several family members, and my bass player went/go.

Although, I lean toward Georgetown.

Sorry to hear that it's a rough year for the Mount. May memories of Silas Cheung sustain you through these tough times :)

CAA tournament coming up this weekend. I wish I was going. ODU managed to secure a 4 seed (thus they get a 1st round bye), despite losing their season finale at UNCW.

Hmm I think I remember ODU looking strong, I've only seen a limited number of games in that division but I was very impressed always watching VCU. They are very fast and have terrific guard play especially by this one guy (I think his name is Stokley, not sure)

I expect George Mason to also make a strong run.

Virginia I do not think will make the tournament but Singletary should get strong consideration for the NBA.

My Patriots will need a strong run in the CAA Tourney to ice a bid. Quality win earlier in the year against Kansas State but too many bad losses.

Maryland....wow another blown lead at home. If they win even two of the three between the Duke, VA Tech, and Clemson home losses they're in for sure.

Great win for Georgetown, finally beating a quality foe on the road. The Hoyas are pretty much guaranteed at least a 3 seed, and if they win the BE tourney they could secure another 2 seed(1 seed probably out of the question assuming none of the top teams completely melt down).

Props to American University as well. Haven't really followed them, are they in the NCAAs or do they still have to win their conference tourney?

Once again the Mecca of Basketball-Washington D.C. displays a great overall amateur basketball season. :)

Mason must win the tourney. That's the only way they are getting a bid. VCU is the only team in the conference that has a chance at an at-large and they must get to the finals to make a serious case for one.
