GT: CLE @ WAS -- 3/13/2008

Post#1 » by DallasShalDune » Wed Mar 12, 2008 10:19 pm

Date: Wednesday, March 13th, 2008
Time: 8:00pm (EST)

ON TNT!!!!!!

Who is going to win??

Our 31-32 Wizards?

PG: Antonio Daniels (Probable...)
SG: DeShawn Stevenson
SF: Caron Butler (Probable...)
PF: Antawn Jamison (Probable...)
C: Brendan Haywood

Honorable Mention: Player of the Game of 3/11, Nick Young

Or the other team.

PG: Delonte West
SG: Devin Brown
SF: Lebron James
PF: Ben Wallace (Probable!!!)
C: Anderson Varejao

Honorable Mention: Damon Jones, because he torched us last time...

Matchup of the Night:
Tough Juice v. Queen 'LeTravel' James
Why wouldn't this be? Tough Juice might be back, according to Yahoo Sports News! Let's hope that they're right, and Antawn and Antonio play, and we can pull out a big upset on our TNT game.

X-Factor(s) for our Wizards:
Andray Blatche, Nick Young, and Roger Mason Jr.
For the second game in a row, I'm giving it to our bench. Blatche and Young came up big for us against Bango's Bucks, but we need them to do it again, even more so than they did yesterday. Can it be two POG's in a row for our rookie, Nick Young?

How many times will Lebron travel? I don't know, but he might give a few extra for Caron's B-Day on Thursday.

--------------------------

I predict a Win, by 1, thanks to a Caron Butler drive to the lane. I just hope he doesn't hurt himself doing it!

And that, my friends, is why he is LeTravel.

Oh yeah, and this one too. It's not against the Wiz but it's my favorite LeTravel clip.

Pretty amazing. He goes 2/3rds of the court with only two dribbles (and 5 1/2 steps!).

The Wiz need to make a statement that with Caron back they are the same team that beat the Celtics twice and made some consider that they were better without Arenas. A solid win would also no doubt boost morale and pump some energy into tired legs.

the video that bulletproof posted goes like this:

catch, step, step (already a travel), 1/2 step, dribble, dribble, step, step, dunk.....all from the opposite 3 point line

pathetic.....2 chances to call a travel with 0 whistles and 2 points for Cleveland. BronBron didn't even have to travel. He had a clear path to the basketball. And where's the lost art of the layup? :D

also, he took 2-3 steps per time he traveled. I'm not too sure if he took 2 or 3 steps. Of course, he is #23

The Cavs are coming off a b2b, we are well-rested, so that means we lose if our pattern holds. I hope EJ doesn't play Caron too much tonight.

Wood & AB must get 30 plus minutes for us to have a chance.

Knowing EJ, he'll play Caron and Antawn both the whole game.

Hm... if you ignore the small shuffle of the left foot you could say he jump stopped and then established that his right foot was the pivot foot and stepped through with his left. IIRC NBA soon after made a rule that with a jump stop both feet are your pivot foot and you can't step, you have to straight up with it. I've been arguing with people about that kind of move in pickup basketball for years.
Help us, Obi-wan Leonsis. You're our only hope.

I'm happy Caron is back but I hope EJ doesn't burn him out. Rest him for at least 2 to 3 minutes per quarter.

LeTravel, Hahahahah you guys'll never forget it don't you. Anyway I think Wiz will win tonight. Cavs are on a back to back and LeBron played 46 min. last night with full attacking mode, so he must be pretty tired. Good to see Caron Butler back. Good luck!
